Eufy340 doorbell is it compatible with my wi-fi?

I've got a door lock bridge device that claims to only connect to the 2.4 GHz band. My WiFi is provided by a mesh device that uses a single SSID for both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, it connects just fine.

If you buy it online you could return it if it didn't connect ?

It will work. Your router will broadcast a 2.4GHz signal unless you have specifically turned that off. All consumer routers support 2.4GHz.

I'd agree, except it's unclear whether the OP actually has wifi at all. Their internet connection is ethernet, it's extremely likely that they just have a cable plugged into a RJ45 port on a wifi router but there is a small (probably very small) possibility that it's not wifi capable.

The OP has "phones" so presumably they are using WiFi rather than cellular data when at home.

Hi again folks. Yes I do have wi-fi on my phone but it is 5 GHz. As I will be viewing through the phone when a caller arrives at the door will this doorbell work?
My partner also has 5GHz on his phone so another question I have is can we both use our phones to see who is at the door?

You phones WILL have 2.4 GHz as well, but I bet my boots your router is broadcasting the same SSID for both bands and you phones are defaulting to connecting to the (usually) faster 5 GHz signal.
I am with VM and there have been some issues reported where door cameras are on 2.4 and phones using the app are on 5 and the data does not get passed through correctly by the router, it seems to only be a problem with some VM Hub 5 models.
If the router works as intended then it doesn't matter which band the app user connects to, they can view the camera as normal.1 -
I'm also with Virgin Media and on checking my original equipment order the hub is an M350 which I think is a Virgin Hub 4? My equipment was ordered from Virgin in May 2025 so I think this hub is now discontinued.

If you both have the app on your phone's and are allowed access the door cam by password or other way then yes it should work.

Are you mixing up 5G mobile data connectivity with 5GHz wifi signal?
