Appreciate the advise, but please don't be laughing at that. Doesn't really make me feel any better about it.

When you pay, they will reinstate access.

While they can pass to a 3rd party & there is little they can do. That 3rd party could take it to court for a CCJ

If they're effectively unable to take a payment from you, by virtue of no longer having access to a valid CPA or direct debit mandate, then that puts you in a stronger negotiating position, as it leaves the ball in their court to try to recover funds from you rather than the other way round.

Technically they have the contractual right to do so, and they could indeed pursue you via debt collectors and ultimately courts, but I suspect that they wouldn't, if you wrote them a snappy and focused non-AI email making a cogent case that you consider their practices and terms unfair under CRA, DMCC, etc, and therefore don't consider yourself bound by an invalid contract.

Personally I don't think that the argument about service suspension has merit so IMHO you'd need to concentrate on the drip pricing angle, but see what others think - you might also do a forum search for previous threads about this company, as you're certainly not the first to be in this situation…

I don't know where this is as when I click on your link I get an error message. And as noted previously there's nothing in the T&Cs that I can see that show different subscriptions and nothing about prices other than the basic membership being free.
