I received the below email from the Emyra team on 13th February, which I replied to questioning a number of things, I have since followed up to check status and have not heard back on either email.
The email they sent me is as follows;
Good afternoon,
We hope you are well.
We are contacting you regarding the complimentary installation awarded as part of the EMYRA Energy Christmas Competition. Following the technical review and verification stages, your project is now ready to be scheduled.
We would like to arrange a suitable installation date with you. Kindly let us know which day would be most convenient for you within the following window:
26 February – 4 March
Once the date is confirmed, we will provide:
- the allocated installation team details,
- the estimated time window,
- and any logistical information required to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Please reply at your earliest convenience so we can secure the team’s availability.
We are pleased to move forward with this initiative and hope this installation will bring you meaningful benefit.
Kind regards,
Sarah Mitchell

I assume someone qualified has checked that a heat pump is suitable for your property and current system? Many aren't.

I would be more worried if no one has visited to do the calculations on just what size pump is required & any changes to current system are required.

I presume that's part of the company's MO, and the "free prize" will need all sorts of expensive outlay before it can be fitted, including that visit to do the calculations.
From my basic understanding, there's a lot more to it than just simply installing the free solar panels, battery and heat pump, where those are going to replace a conventional system. For a start, a heat pump works in a totally different manner to a gas boiler - 'low-and-slow' compared to the more 'fast-and-ferocious' nature of the latter - so better insulation, things like underfloor heating, properly-sized radiators and so on are essential, otherwise a heat pump will simply be working flat out desperately trying to get a leaky house up to temperature with an inadequate number and size of radiators.

I replied back on 13th February and have yet to hear back, just one of my questions was asking about what checks they have made.
Do I believe that this company are genuine, not entirely. The privacy policy contains a phone number for them which is in fact for a different company that make websites, I reached out to them and they confirmed that they have never heard of Emyra Solar.
