If it was a totally remote purchase you may be able to return it for a full refund but you may get pushback from the guys with cowboy hats.
I know a bloke who might be able to deliver it back to them for you - he might need directions to yours from the nearest train station - think the going rate is about £200.

Could you have seen the rust prior to purchasing?
Did old MOTs indicate any corrosion?
What are the root causes of the dashboard indicator lights?
The time to get a garage to do a check was prior to purchasing.
What make, model, age, mileage, general condition car? What price paid?

A simply search using a well known search engine will find a Vehicle Delivery Calculator where you can find the answer.
Based on what you have said I think the delivery is the least of your problems.

Considering the time of the individual to deliver the car plus his train costs to get back etc, £200 doesn't sound like much TBH.

£2/mile is high, especially for driven delivery. Plenty of operators would have done transported delivery for about £1.50/mile. Depending on the location, transported delivery is sometimes easier logistically, sometimes driving it is easier/cheaper.

Please can you shed light on this recent phenomenon of checking a secondhand car after you've purchased it. In any case, the issues you now have with it are a separate issue to the delivery. You initially need to contact the dealer. They have a right to inspect the car………and guess what, the logistics of getting it to them are your responsibility. You'd better cross your fingers for some goodwill and they let you have it fixed more locally.

If bought from a Dealership (i.e. you saw the car at point of sale), you don't have the 14 day colling off period under distance selling regs. So you presumably accepted the car as "adequate" before you paid for it, and then paid another amount to have it delivered without checking how it would be delivered.
To put it into perspective, we bought a car off Cinch, so got 14 days cooling off period and 90 day warranty. The car was transported by lorry from Corby to Bristol. It was then driven from Bristol to our home in Plymouth. We then gave the driver a lift back to the train station, and for that we also paid £200. So delivery is not unreasonable.
As for the general condition - you might be on a sticky wicket there. If the dealership offered a warranty, it probably only covers parts and labour for anything that goes wrong. Saying the chassis or doors are rusty is not really a fault - it is part of the overall condition of the car which you presumably checked before you bought it

Thanks all for your advice. This is the first time I have bought a car and I can see I've been a bit naive.. Its a tough lesson … i appreciate the kind comments… the one about getting a barge to deliver the car was particularly helpful 😔
So wipe those tears away and pull your boot strings up.. think thats what my Granny used to say lol.. Cheers
