That's not a Letter of Claim it's obviously a Claim Form. It says so at the top.

You have about 5 threads on parking charges so you (or drivers of your car) need to be far more careful on private land. Read signs and comply.

    Yes, they sue people.

But you'll know where the NEWBIES thread is by now! Easy to defend. It's a bog standard Moorside Legal claim like all the others you must have seen on this board.

With an issue date of 27/01/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 01/02/26 and before or on 15/02/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 02/03/26

    Hi

Its very unfortuante I was in a station car park waiting area trains were delayed, my mistake was asking the people who work there if it was ok to wait here they said yes, there is a seperate area where you pay and park and its clearly signed as such. Turns out on firther inspection the whole station is pay if there more then 15 minutes, I did the standatrd appeal and didnt even hear anything, from 1 pound to £266. This forum is very helpful and always advises not to pay but will see how goes as i could just paid £60 pound to avoid all hassle i cant afford to get a cc'j ruin my credit for 6 years for this.

    Thanks for comments.

Can you you please send me the newbies thread again, has it moved cant seem to find it, and highlight section that deals with this part. TBH i wanna have my day in court

    regards

You are not risking a CCJ. No worries!

But never ask clueless staff if it's OK to park. Walk over and read the sign.

MOORSIDE adding the FAKE £70 and calling it COSTS AND FEES

On the right of the claim they already claim costs and fees.

They are attempting DOUBLE RECOVERY which is misleading for you and the court

Hi. Just to confirm am submitting the dfence. I just copy points 1 - 10 as per the defence template. I only need to edit 2 and 3. Thanks.

    2. The allegation(s) are vague and liability is denied for the sum claimed, or at all. The delay in bringing proceedings lies with the Claimant, making retrieving material evidence difficult, which is highly prejudicial. The Defendant has little knowledge of events, save as set out below and to admit that they were the registered keeper. (i do remember the events should i removbe this)

    3. I appealed this charge previously but never received any response or decision. The vehicle was not parked in the actual signed car park area, similar to layouts such as station forecourts (should i name them?), and there was no clear signage that the location formed part of a controlled parking area.

    1. Correct

    3) defence paragraphs are written in the 3rd person, no I etc

Please Alter your thread title to something more suitable like

NCP , MOORSIDE LEGAL court claim

(i do remember the events should i remove this)?

No need, because Moorside Legal will probably discontinue it by the Autumn and if not, they certainly won't send anyone to the hearing so you will 'have the floor'.

    3. I appealed

    Nope: 'The Defendant appealed'
