Have the new rules actually come into play yet. My email said end of Jan but I've had no confirmation etc? I don't know if I need to be making sure it's not charging now then the 6 hours...

Not yet, all quiet for the moment.

I think the idea is to give cheap rates for EV when it suits the grid in terms of loading etc. I don't think that can be extended to an absolute right to get unlimiter cheap charging. They won't actually be stopping you charging for more than six hours, it's just that some will be at normal price.

a normal price still a fraction of public charger prices. And still at 5% vat rather than 20% vat - unless ive missed govt cutting that recently.

I've just checked. We pulled down a 32kWh smart charge between 5pm and 10pm on Sunday. It shows as a smart charge in the Ohme App and on the Octopus Charging History screen.

Mine does the same, but it will be the bill that will show if they have started charging full price on the 6 hour plus bit 👍

They have not, that is 100% certain.

As MWT alludes to, the changes have not yet been implemented.

if I remember correctly when this originally kicked off last year Octopus has agreed to include an option when charging to only charge at the cheap rate. This is for those of us who do not need there car charged to a certain % by a certain time
