Thankyou for replying.
The issue date is 2/4/26 and here is the POC: (I did have a pay and display ticket, I still have it, the machine just didn't register half of my registration).

Follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum
Complete the AOS online on MCOL stage first, after reading post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements ( use your government gateway account to access MCOL. )
Use the template defence

I have been reading that and I was about to fill in the AoS but then I saw I should wait for the 5 days since it was served so that would be tomorrow? Am I reading that right? Or shall I just submit it now?

Ideally between 5 and 19 days after the issue date, so yes, tomorrow or Friday
( its 5 days after the issue date not the served date. )

Okay great, thank you!

You read post 2 of the NEWBIES thread to see what to do when and to locate the Template Defence linked there.

With an issue date of 02/04/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 07/04/26 and before or on 21/04/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 05/05/26

Thankyou again all!
This is what I've written for section 3 of the defence template, does this sound ok?
"3. The Defendant paid for a parking ticket for the allocated time spent in the car park and this was displayed on the dashboard. The parking machine did not register the full registration being keyed in and the screen was broken therefore the Defendant could not see that the full registration hadn’t been entered. The Defendant displayed the ticket believing they had a valid permit to park. "

Yes that's good as long as you've obviously added 'and driver' to the end of para 2.
