About a separate issue, they took 6 weeks to update my nominated account, they upheld my complaint and paid the £50 directly into my regular saver.

Hinckley - as a new customer, my application was sent 1st class on Saturday, cheque cleared today. Only email received so far is a reminder today to complete the application form!

My Hinckley has shown today online (21st) (I had an old log in which had remained active although no open accounts since early 2026). Cheque deposit dated 20th (yesterday, Tuesday) so they must have received my application and cheque yesterday (posted on Friday evening for Saturday morning uplift, second class). I didn't receive the email asking for funds to be sent within 5 days, which supports theory that email only being sent for applications sent without a cheque.
Edited to add: cheque has not cleared yet. Probably tomorrow

Hanley
Maturity funds received into nominated account late this afternoon. Interest £135.36, made up of £103.31 credited August, £31.96 on maturity and (for reason unknown, at least to me) 9 pence credited in March 2026.

Not RS but potentially highly relevant - PHP2Shell Vulnerabilities
Most of us will have many online and app based accounts. Critical vulnerabilities have been discovered in PHP, a 30+ year old programming language, frequently used in internet based systems, such as online banking.

If these vulnerabilities are exploited it could be a bonanza for attackers.
The pessimist in me would suggest taking screenshots of balances and transactions. And do a password / security change once an organisation states it has patched it's systems. However, most organisations will not disclose patching and if their systems have been compromised.
Currently attackers haven't worked out how to exploit or started targeted attacks. It may be that some embedded, hidden PHPs are not patched for some weeks / months or at all.-3 -
Spam. Poster might (mistakenly) think that this is helpful information but it's still spam.

I don't think it is spam. Somewhat off topic may be, but not spam. Several high profile organisations have taken down their websites this afternoon as a precaution until a fix can be applied. No financial services reported to be amongst the affected organisations as yet but could be soon.
It's not limited to the UK. Dozens of other websites across Europe have also gone offline.
