My understanding was that £1 was the minimum balance for the Easy Access, it just pays a lower rate if there is less than £100 in. Requiring £100 to open is very different to requiring £100 to keep open.

Re: Hanley - I think that understanding is correct… mine matures on Wednesday, so i'll let you know - but me memory is it pays something like 0.86% at £1 which I can personally live with for keeping a long-term presence (though I have other EA accounts with them currently).

That's what the Product Sheet would support
What is the interest rate? The current interest rate is on balances:
£50,000 - £99,999.99 1.10% Gross • 1.10% AER
£25,000 - £49,999.99 1.00% Gross • 1.00% AER
£10,000 - £24,999.99 0.95% Gross • 0.95% AER
£100 - £9,999.99 0.90% Gross • 0.90% AER
less than £100 0.86% Gross • 0.86% AER
Interest is variable, calculated on a daily basis and is paid annually on 31 August2 -
As do I, but was planning on keeping the £1 as the others are £1,000 min. I never got around to closing the Branch Saver so having kept it this long, I may as well enjoy the benefits of an uncapped rate and assess again when rates are on the way down.

Hanley
That's what my plan is too. I don't have anything else with them at the moment, so may as well leave £1 in the account.

Progressive BS RS @7% - timing of funding. Interest is variable. If there is a reduction in the next 12 months (more likely than an increase), by funding immediately you will get more days out of the 365 days at the higher rate than if you wait to the end of the month.

Hinckley & Rugby RS3
Posted a self-printed application form + cheque by second class post on Saturday morning to their published address for applications.
Have speculatively logged into H&R online just now (as an existing customer I already have an online profile) and can see a new RS3 account there, with £250 balance pending at today's date (no sign this has been withdrawn from my current account yet AFAICT).
Extremely fast service!

But no email or text notification that the account has been opened. Meaning that those of us without an existing online profile will have to wait until Royal Mail deign to deliver either the passbook or an online verification code in order to find out our account details. But I assume that my having just been able to successfully register for H&R Online demonstrates that the application form has been both received and processed. So as you say, fast service.

Hinckley and Rugby BS RS3
My timeline is similar to yours, application form plus cheque posted on Friday evening for uplift at 7am on Sat morning, second class post, but no sign of the RS3 account showing online so far. Posted from Scotland, so delivery on Monday to Leicestershire is probably unrealistic. Maybe tomorrow.

Hinkley RS3
Similar here. Completed forms sent second class Saturday and as a new customer my £250 was cashed today.
Top work
