Weekend vs Weekday Payments
I also use the following "Cut Off For Faster Payments In To Earn Interest The Same Day" MSE URL:3 -
Great, thankyou!

I'm not sure to be honest, I always fund on 1st of the month regardless, it's habit for me, although now for me it's Santander on 2nd in addition

Thanks, I'd hope they will seeing as most are going from their respective current accounts.

First page of this thread advises which accounts pay interest on non working days on an account by account basis.
On my spreadsheet I have a code on each account so I know; although most of my regular savers are funded by standing order, if I have the time I'll fund those worth funding at the weekend whilst at the same time adjusting the standing order to skip a month

I don't have a spreadsheet but I've got a record of all my accounts, but mainly limited to rates and maximum funding.
Its not a huge thing tbh because any monies 'waiting' to go into the RS are already earning 5 or 6%.
I've bookmarked that page though for future reference, thanks for the tip.

Why do both the Lloyds and BoS monthly savers say "........ save £25 -£250 by the 25th of each month"?
Is there any problem funding after the 25th? Do they just state this to avoid people inadvertently paying in late over say a bank holiday weekend and finding their payment does not arrive until the next month? Presumably if you pay in from an account with instant payment times then you can pay in right up to the last day of the month?

Yes it's mainly for standing order purposes.
A payment after 8pm on a Friday won't credit until the next working day, which could sometimes be a Tuesday.

Just in case there's February, non working days involved, or a hold up with a faster payment

I suppose you'd have to work out how much extra earning a percent or two by funding on non working days over the course of a year to determine whether it's worth the effort.
I do shift work, so often won't have the time at a weekend to faff like this, but sometimes I do have the time
