Thanks, I tried Google Maps and really didn't like it when driving - but that was a long time ago, maybe it's better now, but the principle of downloading maps before going (while on wi-fi) is a great idea that for some reason I hadn't thought of. That makes 1p even more appealing

Organic Maps is also available on Android via Google Play and gets a 4.7 rating out of 5

1p have an asterix against the EU Roaming in all plans, so am I right to resume they still sell a 'bolt on' when you are in EU? I tried calling them but they have no operatives available

Any 1p users know the details please?

From the 1p Mobile web site

*With our Boosts there is a cap of 14GB when using the data in the EU with roam-like-at-home. Any additional data used, over 14GB, will be charged at the standard rate of 1p a MB

Basically even if you have more than 14GB for use in the UK, you are limited to 14GB when roaming, otherwise they charge you for using more than that. For example with a 50GB per month plan, your £10 per month will give you up to 14GB roaming in any of the countries listed, basically EU plus a small number of others.

Thanks for info , very helpful to know, that is all good , switching over to them in next couple of days - EE tried the 'you won't get same download speeds and coverage with 1P as you do with us" tactic, but obviously I researched before hand and people on here had given real unbiased reviews , so it cut no ice with me. Plus, you're only ever in 1 month a time with 1p. EE had fine service , but their customer service, are really not good to deal with. Thanks for all the help everyone who commented on this thread , it's been so helpful
