Agree with all of the above. This latest iteration of quoting 'functionality' is horrendous.

Also agree with all the above. The new 'quote' facility is unfit for purpose.

The whole point is to quote the post - not link to it (desirable but a secondary need). The primary need is to just quote it.

With attribution. Which is essential.

With easy ability to quote or highlight particular parts - also essential.

I now no longer try to read most, as the system opens the original post, in the original part of the thread, thereby removing the context of the post that's quoting it. That makes it useless.

It's a fundamentally flawed 'improvement' which needs to be undone
