It doesn't seem to be specified on the page detailing the changes, but right at the bottom there is a linked "What we do not charge for" page, which seems to indicate automatic reinvestments will continue to be free of charge.
We do not charge for:
opening an account and holding cash (uninvested money)
automatic reinvestment of income
account inactivity
moving money or investments between HL accounts
transferring out of HL
closing an HL account
Direct Debits
fund trades (until 1 March 2026, at which point our charges are changing)
paper statements

I've had the exact same e-mail TWICE. The first one arrived before they'd even sent me the one about the new charges. I questioned them on it and they said they don't charge for manual re-investments. What they meant was that it would be free only up until 1st March 2026. I do think HL have shot themselves in the foot a little with this and none of it comes across as very professional.

Thank you @TheElectricCow. I did read the page about things that weren't changing, but then at the top of that page, it does still say "Our charges are changing on 1 March 2026. See what's changing." which made it all a little bit ambiguous (to me at least)

I guess you’ve already considered whether you might have the option of switching from holding ‘Income units’ to ‘Accumulation units’ - assuming that the relevant OEIC offers both and there is no financial penalty (e.g. spread, etc) for switching?
Of course, that still wouldn’t help if you appreciate the flexibility of using income from ‘fund A’ and reinvest it into ‘fund B’ and/or need the income to be a available to be paid out/withdrawn as and when needed.

Yeh, I sometimes take the dividend income (from my S&S ISA) each month and other times, if I don't need extra cash, I re-invest, so accumulation units wouldn't really allow me to do that.

I thought that might be the case.

Any ideas ?

Scottish Widows Share Dealing for the ISA and Trading 212 for the GIA perhaps.

I have a small HL SIPP - will be a little better off after the changes and i use the regular monthly investing option anyway…but thinking of moving to the SW SIPP as a little cheaper.

And now my coupons have been paid out, I'm also transferring out my gilts (to SWSD). Always seems weird on HL that they don't have account numbers so I'll see how that goes.
