I don’t understand what on earth MOL is or how to complete this online. I don’t have a clue what I am doing. Don’t I need to complete the form that was sent to me in the post? I’m more confused now.

No, put your paperwork in a drawer, its not required, all done online on MCOL, the money claim website, like online banking means no paperwork and no going to a bank
You are defending an existing claim against you, so login and complete the AoS on MCOL
The explanation for completing the AoS stage is in post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, follow the 8 steps in the defence template thread post 1 too

You'll understand it easily, everyone does. You are responding to a claim on MCOL, not making a claim.
Please edit your thread title to say which solicitor & PPC and the word 'claim'. It will help us help you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What is the AoS?
I have not completed this at all.
I’ve only completed and sent off the letter of claim form.0 -
I was so confused. I didn’t do the MCOL. I’m guessing it’s too late. I completed the letter of claim form and sent that off.

So your AoS deadline was 2nd June
I strongly recommend that you login to MCOL via your government gateway account and look at the status of the claim so far
Copy and paste your MCOL claim history below Please, like this similar one below

Just do the AOS right now. TODAY.
It's as easy as pie. Shown in page by page pictures in the Template Defence thread.
We have no idea what you mean when you say you sent off a letter. When? Where? What letter?
