They are entitled to use a DRA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies @Coupon-mad but I've been looking through this forum and just re-reading the v. helpful advice of yours re. SAR when I came across the following (from just a couple of years back) so just wanted to get your suggestions on timing - i.e. exactly WHEN to write to their DPO with an SAR?
Subject access request. — MoneySavingExpert Forum
"This forum recommends that no SAR is sent until after the eventual court claim goes to your local civil court..."
So where I'm at is -
*PCN/NTK received
*Appeal lodged with Park Direct UK Ltd (just as a reply to the PCN/NTK)
Currently waiting for them to basically reject my appeal and direct me to the IAS!0 -
Then I or we agree that you dont email a SAR to the DPO at a private parking company until after your local civil court sends you a court order once a Money claim case has been transferred there from the CNBC in Northampton
So i wouldn't bother until my local court in Stockport or Manchester wrote to me, because that point is the appropriate time2 -
wee update - as expected - appeal rejected, IAS details sent on. Just a quick question here - do I need to appeal to the IAS in order to wait for the court order note? Will it be in my favour if this reaches the point of court order if I have gone through all the 'necessary steps' of appeal to PDUK/appeal to IAS/appearance in court or it makes no difference?
Reading this forum already suggests that IAS will not find in my favour….

No
You dont.
There is no such thing as a court order note

Just sit tight. No IAS.
Don't show us the £170 threatograms.

tysm - just one question: do bailiffs actually come to the door to collect on the threatogram in the time between sitting tight and appearing in court?
I only ask because I am my elderly father's carer, and when I'm not at home, my concern would be that he would very likely open the door to them and generally engage/ interact with them!
Really appreciate all your helpful advice thus @Coupon-mad so apologies in advance if the above question is a stupid/ obvious one 😅

No they don’t. It’s all about threats and intimidation to get you to pay a scam invoice

Nothing is a stupid question but absolutely nobody comes knocking. The letters are not from bailiffs.
