Subject access request.

I’m wondering if you could help. I received a letter from Debt recovery plus regarding a supposed charge I got for overstaying in a car park. Up to this I had received nothing from Euro car parks (who own the car park).
I followed advice found on here, mainly ignoring the debt recovery letters and writing to Euro car parks for a Subject data request (I assumed they would send me proof of my car being in said car park & overstaying)
Today I received a letter telling me not to contact them as the debt has been passed to debt recovery plus (though I’m led to believe it would be Euro car parks who would initiate any court action not the debt recovery company, so that’s confused me)
The letter also stated as I didn’t appeal within 28 days they don’t want anything to do with it now, & they are unable to accept my correspondence.
Finally it states “Your request has been passed on to a data protection officer who will respond in due course”
I find it unbelievable that the company that owns the car park seems unable to send me proof that my car was there, so what now?

ECP won't own the car park, a landowner does, ECP are the parking contractor on behalf of the parking company

The DPO at ECP is where your SAR should have been emailed to, but clearly you failed to use their DPO email address

This forum recommends that no SAR is sent until after the eventual court claim goes to your local civil court, but you have jumped the gun on that aspect , so wait for the DPO to respond to your SAR.

    Ignore the debt collectors letters
