Air Passenger Duty from Turkish Airlines

My son booked a flight with Turkish Airlines from London to Kathmandu (via a stop off in Istanbul). He had to cancel the flight due to an accident a couple of weeks before the trip. Part of the cost is obviously Airport Duty Tax. Our insurance covered the actual flight but not the Airport Duty Tax. A call to Turkish Airlines helpline was unsuccessful as the person on the phone did not know about it and suggested completing a feedback form online. Trouble is, there is no category that fits that type of query online. Has anyone had a similar experience or knows how to claim from Turkish Airlines and who to contact? This website posted how to go about it for a lot of airlines but Turkish wasn't listed. Maybe the person who tried from this website encountered the same problem? Thank you in advance!!!

It wasn't a deliberate duplication - I was advised to change the thread name to the more appropriate 'APD'. Does anyone know how to actually contact the correct department for Turkish Airlines?

When I commented in the other thread about using the correct term, I wasn't suggesting to do so on here but when communicating with the airline!

I just went onto their online feedback form and navigated as follows:
Ticket change and refund requests
Refund requests
Canceled travel
but couldn't proceed any further without a ticket reference.
