Hi @Coxy11 - Thank you and there was no bell though I think I would have said no anyway as such a diverse set of people at various stages and very many who I do not know so no relevance. The people i do know were very kind and my special person (who was amazing at finding veins that run away) gave me a hug and said she would miss me. I will miss them they were my human social interaction who accepted me for me - lots of understanding of my operating system and phraseology. (Sorry waffled)
the kit was a random item put in my present and has Hobbycraft written on it - ignore room mess - child, I and the cat are lounging before getting ready for school etc as we like chill out time in the morning

Morning all,
I’m glad you were well supported and looked after @Auti xx That kit is fab. I haven’t been in a Hobbycraft for nigh on a year. We had one in my previous town but no branch near me now which tbh is just as well lol!
I have a plan for my first postbox topper. Will do Spring flowers (tulips, daffodils, and maybe snowdrops/grape hyacinths*) in a pot. Will use a plastic flower pot and cover it in a striped design - will need to weight it down as well as attach to base. Base will be a plain green square (postbox is rectangular on a post) and I will crochet ‘SPRING’. All in my head right now so I’ll see how it turns out 🤣 Two tulip heads made so far.*need to find a pattern
I’ve a day off today. Was planning to visit the allotment but got absolutely soaked on Tuesday and forecast is saying 100% chance of rain today too, so I’ll give it a miss. I have some errands to run in town anyway and a cupboard to sort out in the kitchen. You know that pesky corner cupboard that things get lost in? Yep that’s the one! I may be working a couple of hours tomorrow from home - need to check with boss later.Hope everyone is going okay.Coxy xxCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 1/26 Currently reading The Trial by Rob Rinder1 -
@Coxy11 - snap - lol - I am doing the cupboards in the kitchen after finding someone has spilt the soy sauce in the fridge. Sort of started now have to finish but it will all look good when its done

off to the tip tomorrow so guess it must be near spring as I have started looking at the rooms and thinking of new ideas
have a good day everyone1 -
Busy doing a bothy threads kit, plan to use own supplies, but will need to buy threads for some patterns I plan on doing...have a coca cola dragon, blackberry dragon and a rainbow dragon to do.2

Using or disposing of a large part my stash of cotton quilting fabric is my main aim this year. Also crochet and knitting wool.2

Hello! Please can I join in

I have a lot of crafting I want to do this year, mainly to hone some skills and to use up a surplus of crafting supplies
What I'm trying to achieve:
1. Complete an English paper piece block of the month project I have on the go
2. Use up my wool wether it be through knit or crochet
3. Complete my colour work cowl
4. Use up my sewing scraps
Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress and makes1 -
Hi @ Crafty_gardener please join - the more the merrier and we can all learn new things
Your English paper piece block sounds interesting - what is the picture?
At the moment i am crocheting a cushion but the yarn used in the pattern is no longer available so I have chosen a yarn I like and will adapt the pattern to suit (it is rather a big adapt lol) as the yarn is quite diffferent but awesomely coloured - would like a bit more pink and perhaps shorter amounts of each colour but it was the best I could find.

Good afternoon lovelies!
Great to see some new faces in the cafe - what'll it be? Chai Latte, Flat White etc??
I think stash-busting is an aim for most of us here this year. @jhowell55 what are you plans for the fabrics? I went to a wassailing event on Saturday and the traditional dress for that is rag strips. Bit niche I guess but a good way to use up your odds and ends!
I too am intrigued by the paper piecing - please share a photo @Crafty_gardener x
I'm on the Bothy Threads FB page @beccabee1979 - it's very tempting, but I'm staying strong. Please post photos of your progress when you can x
@Auti the crochet looks fab. Love the colours you've chosen x
Well I've been a busy girl this weekend with my planned post box yarn bomb project. I'm planning a 'Spring' themed topper with tulips and daffodils. Have made 3 tulips so far. Am starting the daffodils today. Will update as I go along. Thinking I'll need to go and yarn bomb under the cover of darkness yikes!!
Hope everyone is doing okay
