Today should be a work from home day and I’m really looking forward to getting some work done without disruptions. I woke up very early and made a start so I expect I’ll have a slump by lunchtime.

Vinted sale finally cleared. It was only £4 but I’ve rounded it up by a pound and sent the final £5 to the emergency fund bank account.

It’s halfway through the month and my petrol is still full and personal spends mostly intact. All I’ve bought from my own spends has been a set of loose fit t-shirts from Next to use as pyjama tops. I added them on to an order my mum was placing so we shared postage cost and at £17.50 for 5 tops, I was pretty chuffed. When home, I like to be cosy so they’ll be well used.

Everything else is just ticking along as expected from a budget point of view.

It was a successful working from home day. I achieved a lot and was able to attend my online meetings without distraction. Hormonal headache did arrive, but I took a break from my screen, glugged some water and paracetemol down and chucked my sunglasses on pronto. This seemed to work as it didn’t turn into a full blown migraine.

I cannot wait for the weekend. I have a less desirable day tomorrow, but hopefully will be going into the weekend without needing to worry myself silly. All those virtual wines might become one nice glass of my favourite tomorrow night (if I have the energy to enjoy it).

Mr D had a good online sale this week, so has kindly sent me some pennies to put towards my new sunglasses. This has been tucked away with my personal spends. I’ll have enough to buy my new pair of nice sunglasses soon.

Here’s hoping everyone else had a good Thursday, and if not, it’s almost Friday 😂

Bracing myself for the last day of the week. Stored all those good vibes up from earlier in the week as will be needing them today. Best outcome: thing I am dreading turns into a ‘non-event’. The stressing about something is often worse than the thing itself I find. Well it is if you live in my head!

Hoping everyone has a good end to the week. Will be checking in later but I doubt there’ll be anything other than an offload to add.

Thank you so much. It was quite a day! But, nothing I couldn’t manage and the thing I was really dreading wasn’t too bad to deal with, although I suspect it will rear its head again in the future. Some people don’t stay happy for long.

Really pleased it’s the weekend. Wine spritzer is poured and I’m looking forward to a posh bath to help unwind.

Thank you. I feel much better after decompressing last night and a good sleep. It’s a tough job, and becoming tougher so I know that I need to toughen up too. Try telling my anxiety that though!

I intend to enjoy my weekend with the only plan being to find little one new school shoes.
