Saving for Christmas 2026 - £1 a day
Welcome to the 🎄Saving for Christmas 2026 - £1 a day🎄 challenge.
So many of us have enjoyed doing this challenge over the years, so here it is again.A bit late starting this one as still not heard back from kdalwayskint who normally runs this challenge, so thought I'd get this one underway before we get too far into January. Of course, many of you may have already made a start with the saving, so do join us and let us know how you are getting on.
Anyway, as always, the aim is to save £1 a day from 1st December to 30th November. How you save your £1 really does not matter. It could be in a physical tin (which is what I do), or it could be in an online account. The choice is down to you. It is your savings
I love this challenge so much that i run two tins - more challenging but double the fun emptying the tins at the end of November!
Don't forget, you don't have to save £1 a day, do what is right for you. Any amount you manage to save is a help towards Christmas next year
We will open our tins or have access to our accounts on 1st December 2026 and declare total amounts saved.
Then it's spend, spend, spend for Christmas 2026 on whatever you like. Trust me, having some savings behind you certainly makes the festive season that little bit easier.
You soon get into the habit of putting a £1 a day away and just think this time next year you will have a healthy chunk of money towards the expense of Christmas.
If you would like to join in pop your name down and the amount you are aiming for, I will allocate a number for you. I look forward to having you on board with me.

I started this 3 years ago, first 2 years £1 a day. Last year I did £2 a day plus £1 for each book read. I fully read 19 books (almost 20) so had £749 last year. I haven't touched the money as yet. I have again started £2 a day and have already £1 extra for the book read.I print a yearly calendar off and put a strike through the day so I know where I am up to.It is also handy if I need any change, I often change a note in there0

Have added my £1 coins to the pot to take me to end of February 😁. Total now up to £180 as I'm running two tins.
Next lot of bingo winnings have to go in my 1p a day savings pots as I'm a slow starter on that one
Happy potting everyone!
