All Documents//Pictures on Window disappeared

I did it but only a few extremely old folders/files appear. Many folders says no items.bazdvd said:open file explorer on the pc.
go to the c drive
Click on the "users" folder to open it and see what names are there.
Go into each folder if there is more than 1 to see if your documents are there.
If you find them let us know and we can show you how to copy everything over to the new user profile if windows cannot access the one you used to use.
You will not break anything by doing the above so give it a try.1 -
ok so try windows restore. it normally backs up settings when an update happens. Instructions in the thread

do any of the user folders match your old login name? Its possible they appear empty because you dont have permission to view the files as you are logged in as a different user now. If thats the case they would appear as empty.0

When you open the C drive can you see a "windows.old" folder?0 -

AFAIK system restore doesn't touch or restore personal files.
