All Documents//Pictures on Window disappeared

    I did it but only a few extremely old folders/files appear. Many folders says no items.

    ok so try windows restore. it normally backs up settings when an update happens. Instructions in the thread

    did you only see 1 user folder? was there a public one?

    do any of the user folders match your old login name? Its possible they appear empty because you dont have permission to view the files as you are logged in as a different user now. If thats the case they would appear as empty.

    one last question for you.
    When you open the C drive can you see a "windows.old" folder?

    Only 1 user folder with a Public folder inside: empty.

    No. "windows.old" folder. 
    I'm going to do windows restore.

    AFAIK system restore doesn't touch or restore personal files.
