MBNA have passed debt to PRA group they are threatening

If you continue to ignore our contact attempts, we may be left with no alternative but to escalate your account to the next stage in the debt recovery process. This could include your account:

    •    being passed to a debt collection agency

    •    being transferred to our doorstep reconnection partner, Moorcroft Debt Recovery Ltd

    •    moving into the litigation process

    Car is stil 4150 🫩

Ignore as a rule. The most important word in that message is "may", or may not.

PRA are a debt collection agency, so maybe they assign or sell on debts that aren't paying?

"Doorstep reconnectors" have as much power as next door's kittie. Don't open the door but if you do, just tell them to leave the property.

Is the underlying debt actually defaulted, have they demanded repayment of the whole sum, and then written declaring the financial relationship ended?

If not, they can't take legal action anyway. Even if they tried, the DRO would usually extinguish any CCJ after one year, unless the debt accrued through fraud.

    So basically toothless.

If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

I agree with @RAS, just ignore this if your plan is to go for a DRO when the car value drops.

It does not really matter if you get a CCJ in the months before hand. The CCJ will be wiped out by the DRO.
