:grouphug: Sending you a hug. You were too good for them anyway. Something will come along soon and in the meantime you're doing really well.

sorry to hear about the job. Do you mind me asking why they turned you down? Put it down to experience and good luck for todays interview.
I think Im going to try the soap nuts when my powder runs out but iI have only just started a new box of powder. Its meant to be a 30 wash box, but Ive mixed it half and half with soda crystals, and then only use about half the recomended dose, so I reckon 120 washes will last me about 3 months.0 -
Ta sass. They said it was because I was only focussed on the physical activity side of the job. This is true, I didn't realise that I was supposed to be teaching painting classes etc!!! which is a good job really cos that is not what I wanted to do!
I can really recommend the soapnuts. I got my free sample through the freebies board and they've lasted for about 10 washes now, but they are on there way out so I put my hand in my pocket and bought a load for £7, but I reckon they will last me about a year??? Maybe more??? Also I have friends and rellies who would appreciate a handful in a birthday hamper.
Paid some more off the debts today. didn't get any done over the past week as been spending on DD with the hols but now getting back on the job. Paid off £15.24
New totals

Now also want to save up for cooker unit so i can finally get a cooker in the kitchen. I've been lasting for the past 2 years on a hob, a microwave and a mini counter top oven that wont even fit a chicken in it!!On a mission0 -
Paid off £40.81 this morning before i get the chance to spend it.
New totals
Loan £11332.98
Forma £1101.80
overdraft £1500
Bringing my new debt total to £13924.78
meaning I have paid off £744.49 so far
Want to try and get a bit productive today as I haven't done much the last two days with these interviews. Got a stew to make and want to try and find out more about this table top sale at the grange if its appening or not. been looking in the papers and not seen anything but might trek down there later when I go to put some petrol in the car.
Also want to try and get some sewing doneOn a mission0 -
sod it cant be bothered with mystery shop its too far away and i'm too lazy  just e mailed them to cancel it.
will go to mr m's and fill car up, sort greenhouse out then pick DD up. Got to do somethin creative or active tonight since i've been a big lazy oinker todayOn a mission0 -
off to try and flog some stuff at local wmc there is a table top sale for 2 quid a table, lets give it a try!:rolleyes:On a mission0

Well table top sale was a complete flop. But the guy there said he wasn't going to charge me and he'd give me the next few weeks free til they built up the trade a little. in the meantime my car is overflowing with stuff!
Really chuffed with all the sewing i've got done over the past few days. Made a gift bag and two pairs of voile curtains!!!!!
I'm really really pleased with myself. This time last month I couldn't even sew on a button, and now i'm making curtains i can't afford out of recycled material i've had taking up space around the house!:j
Although all this enthusiasm for sewing has meant more spendingon thngs like needles, fabric, cottons etc...but i've really been enjoying it.
The big batch of soapnuts have come and they are definitley going to last me at least six months...if not longer.
So here's to a way of making a few quid on some of the stuff i've made xxxOn a mission0 -
Hi Laura, after today won't be back on till next week. Chin up and keep up the great work. right seem to have fell off the wagon a lately so trying my best to get organised again. So i've written a list of things i need to do this week. I am going away to visit at the weekend and sharing petrol (:money: ) money with my mum.
Although not all the things i've got to do are dfw they are in some way related.- apply for/look at job that mum saved for me out of the paper. very good money
- paint the porch-using some recycled paint therefore dfw-done
- paint downstairs toilet-as above. Also the theory is if i'm painting i cant be out spending- nearly done
- Do some sewing. This is for hm gifts and for things to sell.
- Keep the house clean and tidy. - If the house is clean and tidy then my mind is clean and tidy and i shouldn't get in a jumble.
- Get in touch with moorcroft AGAIN re stupidness OR post a separate thread about the whole fiasco-yes i will do just after i've finished this-done told them to take me to court if they like
- e mail my cv to Lee Grimes. This is also about getting a job.
- Clear the windowsills in time for the window man coming on wednesday-done
- Do dads ironing to earn £10
- re budget
Although getting through this list will help pick me up a bit.
OH JUST A THOUGHT! WILL PAINT THE FLOOR BEFORE I GO AWAY THIS WEEKEND THEREFORE WILL HAVGE ALL WEEKEND TO DRY.
right off to do that other postOn a mission0
