Hi Laura, well done with all your job applications, you put me to shame. Im impressed at how qualified you are, though I guess theres not too much call for canoe instructors etc. unless you happen to live near a lake. Once upon a time I had dreams of qualifying in mountain leading, canoeing and the like and running a pub is still near the top of my list of dream jobs - not sure how realistic that one is though.
Whats your system with paying off your debts? you seem to pay off small amounts regularly. Ours are all set up as monthly DD's on minimum payments and as we can't afford to overpay them, I barely touch them.
Hi sass thanks for that. Its funny my dream job is to run a pub as well. If only there were money to be made out of them nowadays!
The account i'm working on paying off at the minute- I'm trying my best to transfer 'change' accross on internet banking. I.e. If there's £16.67 in my current account i'll send the £6.67 to my debt as I can't draw it directly out of my account.
I used to have it sent up on a standing order so £5 a week went accross however this was barely paying off the interest and charges. It kind of feels like because i'm not working and the DD was set up that was all I could afford?? All in my head I know. So I cancelled it and just made an agreement with myself that whatever spare cash I had I would pay towards it.
So it works out I can afford to pay a lot more!:j A lot of this is due to all the cut back i've made. The grocery challenge on the Os board has kept me on the straight and narrow so far!. this month I have drawn out all my food money and kept it in a jar so there's no popping to mr m's on the way home from town or anything like that as my food money is always at home!!
well done for filling out those application forms. I know what it's like, you just sit looking at them and they laugh at you .......
ok the men in white coats will be here soon to collect me (hope there's heating in the asylum!)
I'm moving into a new job soon, not much choice and it was the only job i could apply for where i work, and although i'm not particularly happy i keep thinking 'i'll see how it goes' when i have my suspicions as to how it's going to go. Hey ho
Fingers crossed for you about the job
Overdraft costs £15
Water £31.40
Gas £43
Electricity £30.31
Cleaning stuff £10
Home phone £11
Mobile £45
Food £50
Car Insurance £35.24
Petrol £40
Loan repayment £209.87
Overdrafts £10

In theory. Not sure where its all going. Bearing in mind I suppose I haven't accounted in there for haircuts, car tax, school or any clothes. However I also havent included extra income such as ironing money, ms money, quidco. So I think it should still balance out quite well.

Laura, I signed up to Valued Opinions to earn vouchers. Lots of different ones and I average about a tenner a month. I get the Tesco ones and use these for a treat or something clothes wise.
