    Cleaning stuff £10

Can I be really cheeky and ask what this consists of? Only reason I ask is I used to spend a fortune on cleaning stuff then tried stardrops. Its about 70p for a 500ml bottle which lasts me a good few months even with heavy usage. Other than that I use plain white vinegar, cheap microfibre cloths, old clothes as dusters, soda crystals (56p for 500g bag lasts 3 months), and a bottle of bleach. My total spend for cleaning stuff on average each month is no more that £2-3 and my house is spotless. Just a thought of shaving off a few more pounds that could go to your debt. :o
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

I do use stardrops and I agree its fab!!! this is just a really rubbish estimate as i've only just started budgeting for it separtley from the rest of the groceries. That also includes washing powder and softner. However I got my free sample of soapnuts a few days ago and i'm going to be trying them out over the weekend!

    3. Load car up ready for car boot
    4. clean and tidy house & make sure there's nothing left in there to sell! Ooh and I need to find a table to sell my stuff off....
    5. do my washing with my new soapnuts!
    6. Make some more fudge and or HM sweets for this months birthdays
    7. Finishing off appliying for the macmillan job
    8. Do car boot!!!
    9. Put credit on electricity on meter
    10. Plant some seeds so I can sell bedding plants!
    11. Do my nails!!
    12. Pluck my eyebrows!!
    13. Wash some voile and make some gift bags with it
Won't miss working full time. Its really tired me out! deciding to go back part time was definitely the right decision.

But again its in writing and i've watched the weather forecast and it looks quite good so I must do a car boot on sunday!!!!

I've no money left in the bank at all for the weekend so if I want to have any electricity or any petrol in my car I have to get on with the ironing for my dad when I get in.

the car boot money will hopefully amount to enough to get me to scotland next week for a little holiday at my godmummys in scotland :D . Trying to get my dad to lend me his car as I'm more than concerned that my car wont make it much past scotch corner!

Right I think thats it nearlry all trace of me gone....

well done on the debt milestone.... and onto the next....

I too have heard the forecast is good for this w/e so definitely psyche yourself up for the car boot sale and go for it.

Let us know how the soapnuts go. I have contemplated using them, but am a little hesitant as I just dont see how they work. In the meantime I have a huge box of value washing powder waiting to be opened.

Im impressed at how low your food budget is. Do you have any hints? I spent £120 on food last month (for a family of 4) which I think is pretty good, but always keen to learn new tricks.

    Morning all!

well i did finally make it to the car boot. and painful it was too. I ended up coming home with a load of stuff which really annoys me!

I didn't make much but then again i didn't expect to. I came home with 2 internal doors which I bought with my profits which were a right bargain at a fiver!!

So hopefully i'm going to get to the wednesday car boot to try and off load the rest of my stuff.

Now for today. I'm off for a walk before I decide exactly what i'm going to do today. I'm going for a NSD although if I do come accross a bargain under cou nter fridg I might snap it up with my holiday money while its going. This is all so I can redesign my kitchen and fit an oven into it at long last!!!!

    SO today my list/options are;
    1. Do some decorating (already got paint etc...)
    2. Dads ironing 10 quid
    3. Clean and tidy the house
    4. HM fudge
    5. HM hampers and gift bags
    Ooooh and I finally got an interview!!!! :j :j :j :j :j

Have a good day everyone xxx

  • well done on getting an interview - which job was that for?
how much did the car boot sale actually earn you and did you make it to the table top sale on Weds as well.
im intrigued, if you dont have an oven in your kitchen, what do you have?
sounds like a very productive week, well done.

:wall: sat here waiting for a phone call about the interview I went for yesterday. looks like i haven't got it or they would have called back by now. Got another interview for the gym job I was doing in barnsley at half 2. As you can tell by me being sat here i'm not too bothered about it but am off to have a bath and get ready in a minute.

Had a rubbish week money wise as spent loads on DD last week for half term buit it was nice for a change as she usually goes without most things, and I have worked hard to have money in my purse for half term. luckily she's been brought up the dfw way and loves getting 10p books from the charity shop :money:

Also got a free piano this weekend. Was a bit of a trek to go and pick it up from Ingleton on sunday but dad put trailer on the back of the landy and got it here for us.

having a purge of the freezer to make the budget stretch a bit further until the end of the month. Off to florida in 5 weeks so want to leave the fridge freezer off when I go so sat meal planning last night.

feeling a bit low now as i really would have liked that job but sod them if they cant see a good thing in front of their pen pushing faces.

So hopefully the sun will come out soon and make all things bright again.

Hi, how are you? I haven't been about for a little while myself but it looks like you're doing great! :T

How did you get on with the soapnuts? Are they any good? I get a huge box of Bold out of the cash and carry twice a year and mix it with soda crystals (have sensitive skin and find its only powder that doesn't annoy my skin).

I like your idea for using up voile. I have a blue one hanging about and never thought of that idea. Thank you :D
