Mine if of a little town (the size of a hamlet come village!) called Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
@Florenceem do you remember The Rotunda on the beach? I spent an awful lot of my late teenage early 20’s there on a weekend. Lived in Canterbury so it was only half hour drive. Happy days x

I found this Roman dress at the chazzer the other day - picture from fleabay - for a bargainaceous £2. I bought it with someone else in mind, its a more thoughtful gift (and significantly cheaper than!) a cup of coffee.

So much to read, so little time.10 -
What a thoughtful gift @Rosa_Damascena
Yesterday I bought this large 12 x 18 in Fuscia leather bag which is in serious need of some TLC. The leather is faded on top and the metal hardware has rested. However it was only £2.50.
I would be grateful for any suggestions of where to get buckles and D rings and how to nourish the leather?
I have a couple of mini breaks booked for later in the year and am looking forward to sweeping up to reception like a cross between Mary Poppins and Alex Politzi.

@Potternerd - I'd go for something like Dubbin if you can find some. A place like Timpsons might have D rings as well as the Dubbin or something similar. Just make sure that the bag isn't greasy when you go to use it else you might make a mess of whatever you're wearing. That said I'd bet that bag will suck all the grease in very quickly.

Another vote for Renapur! It is great and brings colour back no bother. It’s a lovely bag by the way.

I haven’t had a proper charity shop day for ages but yesterday went to the very nice market town nearest to me and had an amazing day …
Cos knee-length orange/red skirt £3 (love Cos and this will work for the autumn)
Fat Face infinity scarf £5
Pretty Love and Roses X V&A vest top, £5.50
Navy blue Claudia Strater trousers… a bit of a punt as I didn’t try them on, but they were £3 and it’s a pricey brand, so will either keep or sell on Vinted
Scotch and Soda (another favourite of mine that I can’t justify buying new!)Cream shirt with stars on £8.50
Two swimsuits, both BNWT: a Boden one (£13) and a George at Asda one (£5)
A pair of Merrell Hyperblock trainers, £12 for spring dog walks
A pair of New Balance trainers that £20 – love their mad 1990s vibe!
A mid-length White Stuff cotton dress, button through very easy to wear, for work £15
Sheer Zara top; very pale pink/neutral colour, £6
The range of pricing is really interesting, the shop where I got the Cos skirt and navy trousers from (a local hospice shop) is a goldmine as they seem to price everything at £3, so you can get some real bargains. Interestingly, the big ‘legacy’ shops (Oxfam, BHF) have the highest prices and worst stock. The best overall is Dogs Trust – really beautifully curated shop, reasonable prices, and they do the best dog poo bags I’ve ever used, as a bonus!
Now to spend the weekend washing, curating and selling/donating to make room for all this.
Just catching up on the Daffers news – glad she survived her plunge into the abyss!
A very satisfied
