@Watty1 well done on your fabbing efforts and getting organised.
it’s the Easter holidays for my children and i’m planning on taking a few days off myself to spend a bit of time with them. i also want to do some decluttering - luckily we don’t have much clutter, but i have two kitchen drawers i want to sort out, plus the shed.

@Watty1 well done on the organising of like with like. It does show how much money we have tied up in stuff too. I have been saving a £1 per item that has been used up. As primarily mine has been household goods I've used for the shopping. You could use this to treat yourself whatever you fancy. So many wins in different ways makes you feel good so you need to match that too with looking good.
Getting clothes out too helps with the fab feeling of what fits and what is not required or providing good service to to you. Found a bit of makeup that I have never used its only small so shouldn't take too long to use up. In my several makeup cases with expensive products they are slowly dwindling down.

i just sold my first item on that well known auctioning site.
i posted a few small items on Sunday and my first one just sold so i went straight to the post office to send it off tonight (luckily, the packaging i ordered arrived a few hours ago).
The money i get from selling is going back to replenish my savings.

Chanie. Well done on your selling adventures. It's always nice to make a bit of spare cash, especially if it means we get to declutter at the same time. I have a stack of stuff to get rid of but I haven't had my "selling hat" on for a while. I might give Vinted a try. I also have a load of electronic stuff, old tech etc. it's got to go……..lol. I'm giving myself a deadline - I want it all gone by the end of this year.
Well Hello Ladies
Sorry for going awol a lot has been happening. I went on a short holiday to the Peak District for Easter. When we got back my car finally gave up the ghost so has been sold for scrap. I have decided not to replace her for now and will try going car free for a while. I can always change my mind if I miss it.Health and beauty wise I had a hair cut, and the big one, next week I am having a knee injectionI. I have cancelled my chiro appts - they don't seem to be doing much these days. I am concentrating on at home pilates and tai chi and using a couple of massage gizmos instead. The knee needs more than just exercise, hence the injection. The money I save on the chiro will pay for the injection.
The wardrobe sort out continues. I have bought three dresses - two linen and I'm afraid one is polyester. It's getting very difficult to find natural fabrics these days but I'm determined to gradually replace the synthetic fibres, they really aggravate my skin. Recently ordered a pure cotton tee shirt which has just arrived. It looks ok, will see how well it washes and if it's ok I'll order a few more.
I'm also gradually replacing plastic kitchen ware and anything with Teflon coating. A bit late in the day now that I'm pushing 75. Lol. But better late than never.
Im still in use up mode with toiletries, although I do need to replace my mascara. No weight loss I'm afraid…😟5 -
My husband says I don’t need more clothes and he’s probably right, He keeps telling me I don’t need any more earrings. Of course I do, you can’t have too many I tell him. I buy a lot from Etsy, they are usually unique and very reasonably priced. I don’t tell him every time I buy them but he knows as yet another little box arrives 😺

@helensbiggestfan i hope you had a lovely trip, but it’s a shame about your car. we are in a similar position in so far as OH’s has packed up but we don’t know whether to try and sell it as it is, or fix it.
@Murphybear your post about your weakness for earrings made me smile. we all have different weaknesses and i think mine is bags (but i also like clothes).
i managed to sell a couple more bits on ebay, so my total is about £70 now. i still have loads of stuff i haven’t even listed yet, so i want to make. start tomorrow.

Hello ladies,
It is so much nicer now it is getting warmer and sunnier, well, where I live. I had a nice day out yesterday. I met my friend for brunch and then I had a massage. I think I must have been sitting on the massage chair awkwardly though as my knee is playing up a bit today. I am going out for a Reiki share today and a nice woman is giving me a lift to the yoga studio. I need to book my hair for next week.

Be interesting to hear how you do car free @helensbiggestfan I have always struggled when without but that is probably because of where I live.
I've had a pair of boots repaired. They were only fit for the bin imho but I sent a picture to a repairer and they have now come back - £95 and the gorgeous boots are now as new. All seams restitched where they had come apart, refinished repolished, new zips, new laces and a new decorative stud when one had gone missing. The boots are maybe 10 to 12 years old and were an expensive at the time purchase and this fix should mean they will do another few years so am delighted.
That is pretty much my wardrobe done. A couple more times will be thrown away and some will be put up for sale. Pleased with my efforts, and, now I can put things away so much easier.
Still on the use up of bathroom stuff.
And in other news have made an appointment to discuss my HRT with a private clinic that specialises in this. My GP surgery have been 'unhelpful' shall we say and a gynaecologist at the hospital suggested I get a referral to the specialised clinic at the hospital. GP said this was not needed (!) so I've decided to pay for a private consult. I am determined to look and feel fab this year.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Good afternoon lovely ladies.
Coats are definitely my weakness. I haven't worn some of them in aeons and they take up so much room. Time for a cull…..lol At least jewellery doesn't take up as much space
.
Watty I shall keep you informed of how I manage without a car. I'm keeping an open mind for now. I'll see how I go over the next few months. It is challenging, especially with my knee. There's buses but the nearest bus stop is a bit of a schlepp. Im hoping my knee injection means I can walk to the bus stop and not have to rely on taxis too much. Also there are no "corner shops" for top ups or emergencies so it's going to take some forward planning and organising. I am also going to look at Uber.I shall be interested to see how you get in with the clinic. I had a nasty and unpleasant experience with a NHS nurse practitioner. She was so rude and unhelpful. When I explained my problem she said "well what do you expect at your age". I could have cheerfully throttled her. 😡 I promptly made an appt with a private gynaecologist. She wasn't an hrt specialist but she was very helpful and I am feeling much better, I however I do think I would benefit from seeing a hrt specialist/menopause clinic so I will be interested to see how you get on.
Wednesday……I am desperate for a massage. I need to schedule one asap.
Going to sit outside with a cuppa for half and hour and then cook dinner.
