Thank goodness it's Thursday! Even a short week at work has been busy with lots of catching up to do. I've got another 3 short weeks ahead though, so that's good.
It's a lot cooler here and we've finally had a little bit of rain, the ground is still largely dry though.
I've been trying to keep on top of surveys, so another cashout to add to my PAD today.

Happy Friday! I've been up, walked the dog, tidied the kitchen and caught up on surveys. It feels like it's gone from summer to autumn overnight! I even cracked out my hot water bottle yesterday as I was feeling chilly. So dark this morning, and just grey. It's nice to see the ground recovering, even when we still haven't had a lot of rain. You can start seeing green appearing, and our cyclamen have sprung up in the garden, even though DH was convinced I'd pulled them all up when I did the front garden 🙄
I want to plan my meals and think ahead for the winter. I think I stumbled last year because I was still trying to eat salads and stuff for lunch and when it's cold, I just don't want to! I'm going to try and batch cook some stuff to put in the freezer, plan for things like soup, and try to be more organised.

Batch cooking is definitely the way to go with things like, soups, curries, stews etc. The slow cooker really comes into its own during winter.
We're on holiday next month but when we're back I'll be menu planning and batch cooking to try to get ahead. I've still got some batch cooked meals in the freezer but not many. so we'll be OK until we go and should be OK for a few days when we get back.

That sounds nice, I need to try some new things.
I need to make better use of the slow cooker. I don't have a huge amount of freezer space, so need to try and balance it.
Have a lovely holiday!

The kids didn't want to do anything, so I've been sorting some more stuff out. I've been through my clothing (again!) to see how I'm set for winter. I don't want to be buying more clothes yet. I think I've got enough to keep me going for now. My drawers are looking nice and tidy now. I've got a few more items to go as well. I don't have much in the way of smart stuff, so I might need to get something if I have an important work thing. Otherwise it's good enough for being in teams meetings!

Well done on the sortings, clothes being neat and tidy is so pleasing
It has got so autumnal! I've given up sweeping our garden (patio), just considering the leaves as free exterior autumnal accessorising
