Little miss and I have passed the 70 mile mark today 😁 Hopefully we can pass the 75 mark tomorrow, and then with school runs, be well on the way to the 100. We're aiming to see if we can finish or get very close to finishing next weekend. I'm so proud of her (and me too!).
It's given me a nudge to refocus on my retirement plans. It's been lovely this week just being able to get up and pootle off to the seaside. It's definitely my happy place. This is what I want to do!
I gained 1/2lb today which is better than expected, so I'm happy with that. It does mean I've gained 5.5lb over the last couple of months though so I need to get back on it now that Easter is over.
I've got the awards thing coming up as well as the conference. The conference is casual so I don't need anything for that. I need to sort out what I am wearing for the awards. It's a day ceremony which is good, so just smart clothes needed. I'm also travelling by train and getting around the city, so I want to be comfortable. My biggest issue is trousers, as I carry my weight in my thighs, so it's hard to get a decent fit as my hips and thighs don't always agree on sizing! I really don't want to spend a lot on new trousers as I don't do smart very often 😆 and I only recently got rid of the pair that I bought for last year as they were now too big. I could wear a dress that I have but I'd need to buy shoes, and I'm not really comfortable in dresses/skirts. I could buy something from V, but it would annoy me if it doesn't fit and I wouldn't have time to find something else. I've had a good look around charity shops whilst we've been out and about and nothing fits the bill (or me!). I need to ponder it a bit more, and consider whether I have anything I could get away with partnering with a smarter top.

Well done to you all on the miles. Hope you can find a comfortable solution for the awards outfit.

Little miss and I wandered over to a local car boot this morning so we've done our first walk. We'll go to another one soon to get some more steps in then that will be enough for today.
I've resolved the trouser problem! I remembered some trousers that I had that were too tight for me a couple of months ago. I tried them on and they fit, so despite me not having lost any weight, I must have lost some inches. That's good, so I don't need to worry now.
When we come back later, I want to do some prepping for next week so I can get back on track.

Great to have a shopped from home solution - they are the best ones :)

Well done on all your walking 100 miles will soon be done .
Glad you found some trousers that fit , I find trousers and bras the worst to shop for !Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1 -
Definitely! I really didn't want to spend any money!
Thank you 😊 I completely agree, trousers and bras are a nightmare.

Another 3.5 miles done this morning. We need to average just over 2 miles a day now for the rest of the month so that should be easily doable, and hopefully we can finish completely next weekend.
I've prepped quiche, boiled eggs and scotch eggs for this week.
