I used to get tonsillitis a lot in my late 20s/early 30s. It got to the stage where my tonsils were getting infected and I felt extremely ill. I remember one morning not being able to lift my head from the pillow because the headache that went with the sore throat was so bad but I had two young children to get to school. Then all of a sudden I grew out of it thank goodness and haven’t suffered with it since 🤞
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪1 -
I hope you continue to stay free of it! I used to get it all the time as a kid. I'm not sure why I still have them! Then when I was 18/19 I got glandular fever and they were really bad. Since then, I still get it, but not as often and when I do get it it doesn't knock me out like it used to. It's just a bit sore, quite swollen and covered in pus!

I didn't sleep well last night due to my tonsils making me snore and it kept waking me up 😆 I gave up trying about 5am and decided to go out for a walk so that's a good start to the day.
Little jwil has terrible ingrown toenails and he's finally got an appointment to have them sorted at the end of the month. Last night he whacked one and it bled like crazy. I don't know how he's managed to function, I've had minor ingrown toenails and they hurt like anything.

That's a good idea, I never wear a scarf, thank you!

I used to get tonsilitis a lot as a young child 3 to 6 which used to infect my ears. I've had my tonsils out so that's fixed - pity they couldn't do the same for my ears. That is so long ago that antibios were not prescribed & before the NHS - just about. Just think born a few years later & my hearing would be perfect! People don't realise.

That's a real shame about your ears. I'm lucky that mine has never gone into my ears. They don't prescribe antibiotics as standard now unless there's real suspicion that it's bacterial rather than viral, but I used to get them all the time when I was a kid. We have a lot to be grateful for with the NHS, and even though it's going through tough times I wouldn't want to be without it!

Another day, and we're off to the coast again to do some more walking. We might venture inland tomorrow, but I do like to be beside the sea!
Another item sold by DH, that's quite a few of the listings that I tweaked that have sold since.
