With a brand new motability car, can friends/family find out it motability? (with online searches)?

If I get a new Motability car, is it possible for others to discover that it is a Motability vehicle through online searches or other methods?

When someone is on higher rate PIP mobility and applies for their first Motability car, is the vehicle is classified as a disabled vehicle?. Can friends, family, or neighbors find out—through online searches, phone inquiries, or entering the vehicle's registration number on various websites—that the car is a Motability vehicle registered to a disabled person?

Alternatively, is it possible to keep the fact that the car is a Motability vehicle completely private and undiscoverable, so that no one can find out by checking online MOT sites, government websites, or other online resources by entering the registration number?

If on higher rate PIP mobility, and then applying for your 1st motability car, will this car be classified as disabled?

Can friends/family/ neighbours find out by 'any' form of search, online or speaking to anyone on the phone that the vehicle is a motability car, and is registered disabled? by entering the registration number on some online site?

or can the fact that the brand new car is a motability vehicle by a complete discrete secret and nobody can find out by checking any online MOT site, or Gov site etc, by entering the car reg?.

Not sure whether it’s still the case but there used to be a loophole in ASKMID where the expiry date of insurance showed - if this was more than a year in the future it was almost certainly a Motability car with insurance included for duration of the contract.

But then to get this info someone has to be telling porkies to find out

Yes you can find out but it requires a finance check which reveals whether it's a mobility vehicle.

When buying a used car I think it is a good thing to know if it is a ex Mobility car, due to service records, ect.

Why would it matter whether people are aware that you have a mobility car or any other type of car?
The cars are the same and any adaptions you need for personal reasons are the same regardless of who supplies the car.
It makes perfect sense that an individual with eligibility for a Mobility car would consider that route as one of the finance options and then take up whichever finance option worked out most favourably for the individual.  Mobility is sometimes the most suitable finance route but there have also been threads across these forums where individuals able to access a Mobility car have decided that, for them, an alternative supply / finance route was more suitable.
Out of all the people I know, I do not know how many of them have financed their cars so PCP, company car, cash purchase or whatever.  Nor does it interest me.  I don't think I am unique in not having an interest in how others acquired their car.

Anyone can run a finance check on the actual car. This will tell them if it has finance on it and who the finance company is. I don’t think many people would spend £10 on a check just because they are nosey though.

There was a website setup in the summer called Motability car check where you could just enter a reg number to see if it was a Motability car  but it has now been pulled.

It isn't clear where the data came from but it most likely used cars under 3 years old and with free disabled car tax to produce a '99% chance of being a Motability vehicle'.

The site owner claimed it was to highlight the misuse of vehicles and pulled it after the budget when premium cars were removed, claiming it had done its job.
