@Mrs_Salad_Dodger thank you for my medal.
More shredding done and the scrap paper pile has been replenished. I need lots for all the lists I am writing.
The ridiculous hoop jumping saga continues.
I was a bit cross the other day as I felt my worn out shoes should have lasted longer however I found the receipt for them today whilst doing my shredding and it turns out I bought them 9 years ago! So I think they have done their best and can be retired once I find something to replace them, which will not be happening in the near future as I have so many other things I need to deal with atm.

TC77, well done on dealing with another stage of your mega frog 👏 Good luck with your new method of tackling your clutter 🍀 Hopefully deciding what you want to keep rather than what to get rid of, will make decluttering easier 🤞Good luck tackling the clutter in your dining room 🍀 Is it really only 7 weeks before DD2 returns home 🤔 It doesn’t seem that long ago that she was getting ready to head off to Australia. I imagine you are looking forward to having her home 🥹
Green_hopeful, what a great idea 👏
Moorviews, good luck starting your family history journey 🍀 Great work in the garden & well done on interspersing heavy work with light work 👏 Excellent work decluttering the large filing cabinet 👏 a medal 🏅 is on its way. Good luck with your urgent financial/legal frogs 🍀 Thank you for sharing your current thoughts on decluttering 😊 - some useful observations 😊
Excellent work decluttering the dining table TC77 👏
Still 20 posts behind but getting there 😉 Sleep tight 😴

i dropped a car load of stuff at my upcyclers yesterday he seemed really pleased.
Also freecycled some florist foam and tape. From the label I must have bought it in 2009 so not going to use it now. We dropped it off. Turns out he has had several things before. Nice chap.
Previously i gave a drone to a friend and her son loved it. He flies it inside. Yesterday I found another one on the top floor. I asked if she wanted another one. She said yes immediately so we dropped it off on our way. Apparently the previous one had recently broken so she was really pleased to have another one. That has cleared the landing on the top floor. A few things put aside for eBay but so much better than before.

@Brie Thank you for the offer but I'm at the point where I need to go to the archive and mooch really. I'm stuck on the very early parish records which are hard to read with the age staining - it depends on how good the lighting/focus was on the photography as well. I know I won't be doing it for a while due to the house and my cat Jewel, (because of her meds), but I will get back to my spiritual home of Dorset before too long. 😁

Dizzycap - love your posts. I did smile about Babyface hiding behind you. What is the news on the swans?
vulpix - same here about stair carpet. I will also not have the hall stand and console table put together until there are no men going in and out.
oceanspirit - another list writer here. I have found so much paper - kept for lists. I will never use it all.
I had a really bad night - had to get a fresh freezer pad and painkillers.
Mr F was always bringing stuff home - he hated landfill. He would bring home cushions - I washed them to use for stuffing. It is surprising how much stuffing you use for a doll. In the end - I had to tell him - no more. I just went into the large ROD - there are 2 seat cushions from a sofa - the outside covering is perishing. I struggled to fold one and get it into a black sack.
When this lazy bones gets dressed - I will go out to my black bin - see if I can put a couple of my black sacks in my neighbour's bin so I can fit the cushion in there. J will call here after school to put my bin up the drive.
I plan a day at home working on tidying the small ROD and emptying the large ROD.
For dinner I will do a pan of potatoes - mash to go with sausages - FF. I had a leftovers ping HM dinner last night.
I finished a glove last night and cast on the second one of the pair. Just have to remember to follow the italics for this one.

Thursday is a dull overcast day & forecast to remain that way with a high of 16°C, low of 8°C & a light SSE breeze. The HH waste wheelie bin has been emptied with the added bonus that the bin bag is still there 😊 It feels quite a bit colder indoors so I am wearing a fleece 🥶 Now have my first cuppa & will settle down to some cheerleading:
Wonderful cheerleading Florenceem 😊 Like you I had to google The Pomodoro Technique & then went down a rabbit hole of other decluttering methods (on the Good Housekeeping website) 😉 Pleased to hear that you had a pain free night 😊although the constant bathroom visits must have been a tad irritating 😞 Good luck sorting out your yarn 🍀 A lovely surprise to receive a text ☺️
GrannyKate, good work sorting out all the bits & pieces involved in taking holidays 👏 Brilliant news that the old radiators & other odd pieces of scrap metal have finally been removed from your front garden 🥳
Florenceem, yippee to your positive decluttering of the The Penny Pincher papers 🥳
Excellent decluttering Soontobeoap 👏 It sounds like you are making great progress ☺️
Brie, love the cat story 😊 I think I would have been another member of the “yuck” group 😉
Excellent work TC77 👏 especially all the preparatory work re valuations & electronics decluttering ☺️ Fingers crossed that you locate the laptop quickly 🤞Hope the boiler service goes well 🙏
florianatwobob, sounds like you have donated some lovely stuff to your local air ambulance CS as they have raised so much from your donations 🤩
Florenceem, one can only hope that the SA officer is finally beginning to understand how you feel & he might stop harassing/pressurising you to return 🙏 Excellent work gradually emptying the large RoD & sorting your fabric & yarn stashes 👏 It sounds like you are single-handedly stocking the SA shop & your Daughter & granddaughter’s schools ☺️
Great post Yorkie1 👏 Thanks for the idea of an Executors file & also the link to Age U.K. 👏 Very useful & something that DH & I really need to get started on.
You are very welcome Willowtree222 😊
TC77, love the fabric you chose for the ottoman & stool ☺️ & the dressing table is is a very attractive piece of furniture 🤩 Good luck with the final push to declutter & tidy your bedroom 🍀
Florenceem, great news that the blind is ready to fit in the craft storage room 🥳 I do hope that you are finding time to rest & relax in between all the hard work of decluttering & sorting 🙏
Now flagging & also have an empty mug 😉 so will post this & have a little break from cheerleading. Hope everyone has as good a day as possible 🤞 See you later 👋

Mrs SD - I had a break and got a lolly out of the freezer - a mini one but I can hear my dear dad saying - you need your strong glasses on to see it.
I managed to put 2 of my black sacks in my neighbour's bin so that meant I could get a bagged up sofa cushion in - with a lot of squashing. The other bagged up cushion is sitting next to the bin. I don't know if young J will put it out next to my black bin in the hope that the refuse men are kind and take it. If not - my bin will start the fortnight half full.
I have carried on with taking stuff out of the large ROD and into the small ROD where it either goes in boxes or if fabric comes downstairs to go in an Ike. cube.
I have found chunky yarn which daughter R wants.
I found my dear dad's shirts and a nightshirt that I planned to use to make a pillow or bear. My first thought was I must tell Mr F - he was very fond of him.
I have 6 bags in the hall ready for the SA charity shop. I am getting rid of a lot of fabric as well as yarn.
My bestie who runs it is at A & E - poorly. We are in constant touch by whats app.
My other young J has not heard back from a seller on marketplace - he was going to collect an item for me.
I had a pain free morning but had to take painkillers with a cup of tea when I sat down to have lunch.
I don't switch on the tv screen until I have had dinner and washed up. I am very happy with the screen - much nicer to watch craft you tube videos on than my computer one.
Off to make another pot of tea. I have loose tea and make a pot which gives 2 cups. I have one and zap the other in the microwave when I get thirsty.
Hope everyone is having a good and productive day or a restful one.

Reading what others have said about Aberfan; my big brother came home from school, picked me up and sat cuddling me for ages. Then announced he would not be going to church ever again as a loving God would never allow such a thing to happen - and he stuck to his word, he has never been to church since.
Repotted windowsill spring onions into a deeper pot. I had a plastic one in my garden store from when I tried growing so have reused that and the ceramic pot was a gift from a neighbour. I have 3 more plastic pots that I want to move the big onions into as they are growing tasty green tops like fury. Just need 3 nice deep ceramic pots.
Feeling sad today as BHF have collected the furniture from mums this morning - that's the last of her things gone. Its only furniture and mum wanted it to go to charity but the finality is what is making me feel sad I think.
Weather is lovely again, sunny but a little on the cool side. Hope it stays this way for next week as there is washing to do and I need to wash a crocheted blanket.
Hope everyone is having a good day, hugs xx

Managed to get all the laundry upstairs and unloaded the baskets - left OH's stuff in his usual dusty pile. I keep reminding myself I'm not his mother so he can put his own boxers away. Tidied up some of my stuff, but left my own dusty piles - a major clear out is required for the clothing, have I mentioned that in the past at all, ever????? Maybe tomorrow….. But meanwhile I spotted a pair of Moshulu slippers I bought online. They were on sale (of course), look really cute but are as uncomfortable as all heck. So into the charity bag they went. Will try to tackle the clothing and get that bag full and out of the house asap.
Meanwhile I discovered that one of the suitcases that is on the bed room (of doom) is still half full of stuff we took on holiday. I'm surprised that OH hasn't been shouting about the house trying to find one of the several belts he felt necessary to take away with him. No new trips planned so far until September so hopefully this will be put away well before then.

Afternoon all. Still not getting those frogs done but I'll keep trying. Replacement wooden struts arrived for 3 damaged ones in new bed. They did come quickly and they sent me 12 instead of three. A few more bits sorted and tidied. Car valeted whilst I was at quiz. They make a really good job.
464 Checked telephone preference service (TPS) as I have had loads of spam calls recently. Mobile not on there but I know I definitely did it before so re input and added my newer landline number. (one of those in your head jobs you keep meaning to do - only took 2-3 minutes)
465 Wood to tip
466 vLarge cardboard boxes to recycling at tip
467 Weeds to brown bin
468 Small back pack to CS bag
469 Bagful of stuff to CS
470 Large bag of jamjars to 'jam' lady at church hall
471 Car cleaned out, valeted and washed
472 Yet more cardboard packaging to recycling bin
473 Washed rubber backed bath mat but back goes sticky so put it in bin on way back in from washing line.
I need to do final case sorting ready for holiday.
