Oops again 🙊 woke up after 2.5 hours asleep on the sofa & went straight to bed without posting 😞
Monday continued: It did rain - a shortish but heavy shower about 15:30. DH popped out in the car to pick up some milk (normally we would have enough from the deliveries but we have been having more hot drinks than usual due to the weather) & pies for tonight’s dinner. Dinner was pie, oven chips & baked beans. Washed up left to dry. We had a couple more short showers during the evening.

Hi, I have been awol for a few days. I have had my gritty bile duct cleaned!
Nothing of any note decluttered, just still using up toiletries. We are still using up MIL's mountain of body wash, about 7 left.
For those of you dealing with frail elderly people, remember you are doing a fantastic job. It is a very difficult and stressful time for all involved.Dealing with MIL was 8 years of stress and an emotional roller coaster for us.Don't want that to sound depressing, rather, supportive to those doing it right now.
The front bedroom decorating is almost finished. We had a carpet guy come to measure up yesterday. Carpet should be down next week. I think I will put a blind in there as well as curtains. The curtains are quite thin though pretty.
Gotta go, craft club day.

@vulpix I have a white blackout roller blind in my spare room, with soft white voile curtains for aesthetic purposes!
I'm sorting my wardrobes again... I really need to relegate some items to inside wear, and accept that I don't need office appropriate wear nowadays. I also need to stop wearing jeans / leggings & a hoodie all the time! Anyway there's a few things to go on Vinted and some for the chazzer.
I am also trying to sort clothes for my trip to Malta next week. I'm not sure my plan of a small case will work...

vulpix - that is speedy for new carpet. Chap came to measure up yesterday - being laid March 9 - earliest date as they are booked up until then. Makes me feel customers like their carpets and prices.
I am starting to think about having new laminate downsatirs - like the carpets - been down nearly 13 years. It is a hassle as skirting boards have to come off. I am gutting my craft room so makes sense to get it done while the room is empty. I will need to get rid of stuff from the hallway.

- Hi all, lots of hair decluttered yesterday, no more burst couch 😂. Posted thank you card from stash to friend who did the picture for me along with the payment. She did say no charge for an old friend but I couldn't settle with that. Also returned some clothing OH had ordered for a n impending wedding, didn't fit so that has gone. Bedroom recy recycling, kitchen recycling and lr recycling emptied. 2 shower gels consolidated into an empty hand wash dispenser and bottles recycled. Today so far I have emptied the bedroom bin and the bathroom bin, trip to the sm for eggs for pancakes 😁 and some knitting while watching the winter Olympics.
- Well there's a turn up, no double space when I hit return, have they fixed it or is it a mistake?
- @dND I tried what you suggested but it didn't work on my phone or tablet but fingers crossed it has been resolved 😁
- I have been dithering about the splash back for the kitchen and have lost hours down various internet rabbit holes 😂. I am very attracted to glass but I am not sure if my builder can deal with that. I will speak to him when I see him and dither a bit longer 😂.
- Right time to go and do something else 😁
- Hugs to everyone who would like one

Selection of old papers and bits of wood decluttered from the side of the settee where they had been waiting to be burned on the log burner. It's out of action atm because the last time I lit it, just before Christmas, the smoke didn't go up the chimney, it all came back into the room. I have a feeling that the chimney bit from the actual log burner (which is quite narrow) might be blocked with something (daren't think what but it would have come down the chimney). I'm wondering if a chimney sweep might be the person to deal with it as I am too much of a wuss to start poking about.

@oceandreamer definitely get a sweep in, and a good plan not to use the log burner while it's not ventilating effectively.

Chimneys should be regularly checked and swept but best to use an accredited one or personal recommendation 😀
