Thanks everyone. There’s a celebratory chocolate cake in the tin. (Don’t tell my DH. He won’t forgive me for using the chocolate ration to bake it.)

Planned coupon spend. I've been waiting for a Sparks offer on bras and today was the day. Two Flexifit non wired bras - the most comfortable and supportive ever invented. Well worth 2 coupons - and £35.20 for the two after the 20% off
Just have to make sure nothing sneaks into the wash to turn them as grey as my current bras

@RailwayCottageRebecca made an unusual chocolate and jam cake from her rations and wartime recipes this week. I think I would have preferred toast and jam and a bit of chocolate.

Wonderful news, Pip, you must feel as if you are starting to emerge from a dark tunnel.
Laura, I feel your pain. I too have suffered a lot of deaths - 7 in the past 21 months, three of them being my parents and one of my best friends. And just before Christmas, another Friend who I respect greatly announced that she has terminal liver and pancreatic cancer, and has been given 3-4 months to live. Life is so hard sometimes.
Which makes Pip's news all the more welcome!
