Tilly Tidy with pennies in 2026

Morning TT Peeps,
Just been scratting around as it is NHS pension day. I've moved the small monies into the TT saving account to start off February and emptied January's contribution of 29.50 to an ISA account. The Chase account savings pots has the interest added each month which is great to see. So any pennies under the pound all are moved over into another pot to start that building up. At the moment that pot getting this attention is for Treats for us.
@Divingmad congratulations on the "new to you" car needs must. Do you budget for your car which includes all that is needed? i.e insurance, road tax, fuel, servicing, MOT? I have a bathroom pot which is over my original target but I am not adding any more except for the interest being added. I just need to get some design work and quotes and get this completed this year.
@Naomim that is a good start to January and your new focus in paying down the pesky CC. Just being nosey in asking are paying the largest first or the smallest balance. I know which way we are supposed to do it, I did ours using the smallest balance to get the successes earlier and then snowballing the extra funds as they became available. They were fortunately 0% interest balances.
As this month is 3 days shorter than January I am aiming to do better with the tillying 😉🤞
Have a good week all

@2Scratters I put it towards the largest one, I have three and all on 0% thankfully but realised one runs out in 5 months so might concentrate my TT's to that one for now.

Hi All,
It's tiddy up totalling day and it comes in at a nice £17.47. S9 that's off to the saving pots 😀
@2Scratters I have a monthly transfer total set up for those occasional/ yearly bills, which is currently at £550pm. I have other pots that I add to which have target values which once reached, I stop adding to and just let the interest acrue, so my pots have been mostly depleted after the latest round of spending, time to get them toped up again now 😆

@Divingmad I love my pots! Although I have found out my car insurance pot is underfunded and only covering one car renewal so I need to redo my budget. We tried going one car but it was impractical at weekends with needing to be at different football matches etc.
Tilly total at the moment around £14. Still on track for my monthly average. 👌

Morning Peeps,
hope you are all well and that the past week has managed to find some bits to Tilly tidy. I haven't been into my bank account that I have the TT in a lot this past week and there are no DD's from it too so there is little to nothing to move about. It's looking a bit sad so just moved £5.
I have some bags of change that we just put away a periodically count and take to a local shop or 2 to save them the banking business fees of getting change from the bank. We are probably due to do this. I will make it February task.

Hi All,
As it's the first of the month, doing my tidying up from all my spend categories and I've got a sum total of £237.71.
So that's all off to replenishing my saving pots some towards an overpayment of the mortgage.
