VISION BOARDS
I’ve tried to piece together info from t’interweb to make this a manageable thing to do.
The one major rule of creating a vision board is that there are no rules! This should be a fun and creative time for you to focus on your greatest dreams and ambitions. What should I put on my vision board? Your board can include anything that inspires and motivates you.
How do you create a vision board that accurately displays your dreams and aspirations? Creating a vision board representing your ideal life can be overwhelming at first.
Before you start making your layout, create a list of goals, desires, dreams.
There are four types of goals: 1.) Stepping stone goals 2.) Short-term goals 3.) Long-term goals and 4.) Lifetime goals. Feel free to make four columns because sometimes thinking about goals can become overwhelming and discouraging because it is easy to think about what you don’t have or what you haven’t accomplished yet.
Try to think about all of the different areas of life including, but not limited to:
· Career/finance
· Health/wellness
· Relationships/family
· Travel/adventure
· Personal growth/learning
· Home/environment
· Hobbies/creativity
· Spirituality/mindfulness
Your vision board can include anything you'd like, from the big goals and dreams (write a book, learn how to meditate, take the family on holiday), to the little wish list type of stuff (try a new hair style), intentions (be more mindful, connect with my family better), and words for the year (clarity, joy, peace).
How you present your vision board is totally up to you. You can use images, quotes, photos, or a mind map or lists. You can spray paint it on a wall or scribble a page in a notebook or even make a digital one (oooh, fancy!)
Go on, have a play with it all. Unleash your inner Picasso, Monet, Turner, Warhol, Banksy. Most of all, have fun!

Good morning and a Happy New Year
So far I’ve transferred money to the savings, paid a bit off my CC , and weighed myself 😳
I have a rolling menu plan on the fridge and have juggled that a bit cos I realised I’m working extra on Monday so I need something easy that day and added an extra couple of days. We’re still using up some of the Xmas food as meals and I’ve prepped and frozen some of it.We’ve started thinking about our summer hol, probably a caravan in France 🇫🇷 so the planning will be started. DS2 and his girlfriend and kids are probably doing it too so it will be a bit more expensive cos they are school age, but will be well worth it. Making memories.
Anyway time to get on with my day
Good luck frugal friends

Happy New Year!
Tree down, living room hoovered, half of Christmas repacked and ready to go and live back in the loft.
Money limbo due to the BH. Bills etc all to go out tomorrow, then I will get notifications I am 1.40p o/drawn, then money comes in 3 seconds later, and I am not. The notifications will be pinging all day.
Will continue cleaning and clearing today, will bake bread, will spend no money, will drink wine. No dry January for me I'm afraid. I managed one single solitary half pint of beer in December. I do have some beer-free-beer in the fridge, and some no-gin G&Ts in there too. Should really tidy them away.
Has anyone else seen that horrible advert on tv for a bloodline inheritance plan? I was shocked. It is vile.
No time for nastiness in 2026.

Happy New Year
Definitely no time for nastiness @f0xh0les!NSD # 1 for me today
I have only been out to walk the dog, and fetch boxes of sales stuff from the car. These still need to make their way up 2 flights of stairs though
OH had a decent sleep, still coughing and sneezing but not so bad. Other people I know locally have had this horrid bug that keeps coming back. Still hoping that I don't get it! Not feeling great today, but I am putting that down to a poor night's sleep. Hoping for a better one tonight.I have made a big pan of chilli for dinners for the next couple of nights, and some for the freezer if I can shoehorn it in
Used up lots of veg
Tonight we finished up most of the chicken pie I made yesterday. OH will finish the rest for his lunch tomorrow while I am at work.Grateful for a quiet day, getting some things done, and it not being quite so cold.5 -
Haven’t seen the ad but agree no room for nastiness.New monthly savings transfer set up.Watched couple of savings and minimalism bits on y tube.Steak pie and lots veg just been had. Yum.Today I am grateful for a shiny new year, delicious food and plenty of leftovers for the next couple of days, lovely long walk with DH and our dog. So grateful for sunshine.Wrap up turtles as it is to turn colder up here so I expect it will in other places too. It is winter after all 😆6

I watched a video on utube today by Daniel Pink about how to make 2026 fab. It was really interesting and I was organised enough to pause it and make notes as I went through it. There were over 20 bullet points, all done within 26 mins. And the best bit was at the end when he said that trying out 2 or 3 of them would be helpful. Yay! That seems much more manageable.Today I am grateful for Pip having a lovely time out, for chatting with a friend, for completing day #1 of no sugar, for making notes so that the video wasn't just 'good ideas' vaguely recalled. My morning win was sitting quietly for 3 mins before doing anything else.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6
