Yes, there is a countdown and you're right in assuming it is working relative to the tariff and not the alcs.Scot_39 said:Ps just out of interest - does your ihd have a countdown to next tariff rate feature - if so am I right in assuming it will probably be working relative to the tariff and not the alcs now mismatched - i.e. counting down to 0034 // 0734.
Thanks for the heads up on the wording, a valid point.0 -
I have had a result. Despite there being no communication yet from Octopus.
Up until the night of 5th Jan I was using around £1.17 or 4kWh a night between 00.00 and 00.30, on the night of the 6th it dropped, the same half hour for every night since has been around £0.05p or 0.17kWh. I haven't been up that late so I can't confirm the ALCS has been adjusted but it certainly looks that way. I just need Octopus to contact me now with how they plan to refund the excess charges. Thank You again for all the great advise. Another MSE Forum winner.5 -
hi, did you ever get your money back? I’ve just switched to Octopus and gave exactly the same problem.

sorry, another question. Was there anything special about 5th to make it change? Currently in conversation with Octopus…
