Currys Cloud Back Up

I have just discovered that I have been paying for 2 Currys Cloud Back Ups neither of which I have used. One has been taking payments from my credit card since 2012 and the other since 2019.
I contacted Currys for reimbursement and they said they could only reimburse the latest payment which was in December 2025. They said they sent out email reminders but I haven't received any although they may have gone into spam. The earlier account was using a Freeserve email address which has been defunct since 2018 so there is no way I could have known about the reminders anyway. I told them that they must have received  a reply back to say that the email address did not exist but they said it was done automatically from a no reply address.
All this stemmed from their pushy salesmen persuading people to buy a facility that they did not need or want. It may be sort of legal but it is morally wrong.
Currently waiting for a Currys Manager to phone me back today after missing his agreed slot of between 9 and 12 today.

did you see any emails for the first account between 2012 and 2018? Also have you checked your current email spam for emails for the second account?

If you have agreed to things and forgotten to cancel them or given an email address and not updated them when it was changed those things are on you.

Most automated emails like these are sent from an email account that doesnt accept replies, they often send thousands of emails and the mail box would be swamped with out of office notifications, bounces and other notifications that are of no relevant or interest to them. When you change your email or phone or anything else its on you to tell everyone

This is going to be a lesson on keeping on top of checking your accounts and ensuring your spam filters arent being over zealous.
