I've just check on another forum I was posting on it might be different for car parking charges as mine was for debts at the time. I filed a defence with MCOL, waited for the N180 form filled it out and then about a month or so before the court hearing I got a (N157) form where I filled out a further defence which I sent to the court and the solicitors representing them.

Do this not happen the same with car parking charges? do I just fill out the N180 and wait for a court date this is what was confusing me?

The recent court order requires your wife to complete and submit her N180 by that March deadline

Nothing confusing about it, download it, she fills it in and emails it to the DQ email address, job done, simple

The latest CNBC letter will have the same claim reference number as the claim form dated 9th December 2025

    Reminder for the regulars:

    UKPC via DCB Legal.

Just to remind us all, it's three PCNs but the Particulars fail to plead three dates so CEL v Chan and CPMS v Akande will be exhibits later on, at WS stage. Claim Form date must have been early December, so not a case for using Mazur. They are claiming £510 for 3 parking charges, so it may or may not end up discontinued.

Signs don't have a readable term offering any less than 4 hours free parking. Small print doesn't cut it. No agreement to pay £100 because the offer was 4 hours free.

Easy enough to win on that basis, if the hearing proceeds and the judge doesn't strike the Claim out per Chan & Akande.

To @Gavin78 you must read the 8 steps again (see the Template Defence thread) which already tell you how to fill in every question in the N180. Dead easy form to complete but plot the Defendant's unavailability carefully all year through to December (not just 6 months) - think of everything: work, birthdays, possible holiday weeks, kids half term, caring duties, the lot.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
