Hi I have been lurking and reading along about how you amazing people all make extra money. There is no way I could possibly make £2026 but you have all inspired me to see how much I can. I have already managed £300 this month in different ways Sainsbury's gift card after proving I had been over charged, money back on damaged item and refund for a miss sold trip that we went on. I am also looking at websites to see if they give nectar before ordering and am decluttering and planning to sell on Wightbay ( isle of wight eBay) and also planning a car boot sale later this month. It has made me feel more in control and on top of things so thank you for the inspiration.

Righto, here is my belated end of March update:

• FIZZ Benefits started £12.30 plus £9.90 so a total £22.20
• Clubcard Vouchers £18
• Clubcard Reward Partners £39
• UCL Research £10
• Freebie £16.60
• EDF Sunday Saver Load Shifting £60.16 - no extra this month but should see the efforts from the month by next update.
• Roadkill £20 plus an additional 27 pence so £20.27
• Sold a sofa £10

That brings my total to date to £196.23.

Selling the sofa was a real win as we considered it well and truly past its better days - it was originally purchased in 1996 so 30 years old. In fact a double win as the person took the sofa away so avoided me the hassle of breaking it up or taking it to the dump - the fact they offered me a tenner as well was the icing on the cake.

AWESOME! The fact that you've been inspired and you're going to try and make some money in 2026, is far better than not. You can set any realistic individual goal and you seem to be doing just great with £300. It soon adds up xxx

Am I too late to join and see if I can make £600 this year please.

My running total to date.is:-

£146.00 money back from mis sold trip

£149.00 money back from damaged peice of furniture bought ( I have repaired it)

£4.00 Sainsbury gift card because I was overcharged at checkout

£15.00 sold a chest of drawers this evening.

Total £314.00

So, I got another win - a bottle of shower gel with a retail price of £1.50 so do I record that in my "make £2,026" total as £1.50?

To be honest, the win was for completing the most steps of anyone visiting the local Tesco in the day so it was a lot of effort for not a great value of prize. I would have done the steps regardless so I suppose it was just a free bottle of shower gel.

Personally, I would count the value of any prize(s) in my £2026 total. In your case, £1.50.

My YTD Total has now reached: £1933.69 / £2,026 so not far to go; another £92.31, to reach the £2026 goal 😅😉.
