DCB legal
DCB Legal are chasing me for a PCN from June 2023
In October i receivedthe letter of claim and found a thread with a response
“I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.”
so used that to respond via email which was sent 24/10/2025
Yesterdat DCB Legsl responded in writing along with two images of my car, one arriving and one leaving.
the email reads as
“We write in response to your correspondence received in our office.
DCB Legal have been instructed to pursue you for the Parking Charge issued on 30th June 2023 at Goose Green Multi-Storey, Altrincham. Reasoning being Insufficient Paid Time.
As per your request, please find attached the evidence DCB Legal hold concerning the matter. If there are any documents that you have requested, but that are not attached, it is because we have deemed the request to be disproportionate and/or not relevant to the substantive issues in dispute. We respectfully draw your attention to paragraph 2.1(c) of the Protocol and remind you that both parties are expected to act reasonably and proportionately.
As you have failed to make payment within the time frame specified within our Letter of Claim, a Claim has now been issued against you on 5th December 2025.
You are now required to make payment of the full Claim balance of £289.40 or address the Court documentation received, accordingly. Failure to do so, within the time frame specified by Court will result in Judgment being issued against you in default.”
I need help as I’m unsure how to proceed
The initial amount DCB were chasing me for was £170 but now they’ve increased it to £289
Thank you.

1. Plan A contact landowner.
2. Read newbees thread
3. make cup of tea and wait...3 -
Post a properly redacted picture of the claim form below, no password or reference number etc
If you have a court claim, it's DCB LEGAL, not DCBL anymore
Name the private parking company claimant and the issue date

You sent an appeal to a solicitor's LBC? That was a waste of your time. Read the NEWBIES thread post 2 and await the claim form.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
Don't worry about increased sum it's not real. DCB Legal will start reducing it at mandatory Mediation and thereafter, eventually (if you don't pay and follow forum's advice) discontinuing the claim before they need to pay the hearing fees.
