Tonight was first night of a new book group run by our local library. The book we have been given for next month is "Red Dust Road" which is doubly good as it will be my R in my A-Z of books.

@thechubbyunicorn mum's friend is doing her bucket list and inviting others to join in with any we fancy. One thing on her list was going on the Waverley (oldest seafaring paddle steamer) so mum and I joined her and others for a long weekend in Oban, going on a fab steam round Staffa and Colonsay on Saturday. I shall have to ask her if a deep fried mars bar is on her list!
I have been adding to my whisky A-Z with a Tobermory on the boat (we had just visited Tobermory with a 50 minute stop), an Oban (of course) and tonight a Lagavulin. One of my friends found a whiskey starting with Z so I think I'll allow whisky AND whiskey. The whiskey in question is from the Netherlands which is where I just happen to be going next Wednesday to visit my eldest.
Oh and I finished reading Red Rust Road (very good) and also Heart the Lover (also loved). I have now started Poor Creatures, set in Dundee

Next year I think I will do 26 x 1 thing. I was huuuugely optimistic this year.

Or think of some small habits I can do 26 times.

@isthelittlethings good idea - we all make up our own rules on this site, needs to bring joy not guilt! and if you want to prune your aims this year go for it - which on the list is bringing you joy? which are bringing guilt? we have no room for guilt on this thread!
