Cheap Christmas Veg 2025

Yes, Shallots last for ages.
And veggies can be frozen if you've got the space !
Forgot to mention that it's maximum 6 identical items at Morrisons; and 4 identical items at ALDI.
Have a Good Xmas whatever you're doing and if your faith respects it !!!
P.S. I retract what I said about M & S. In the final few minutes of trading on Christmas Eve, I happened to be browsing in the store when a female member of staff approached me with a trolley full of flowers, which she was giving away !! Not so much bah humbug as aah humbug !
P.P.S. Well I can report a better price than 5p for veggies...Went into ALDI on December 28 and they were GIVING AWAY Parsnips & Sprouts (Havant, Hampshire).
HAPPY NEW YEAR and roll on Easter 2026 when the veggie price wars will almost certainly re-commence !!!

Hence my local ASDA giving away mountain loads of free veg on boxing day. Perhaps a lesson for next year, but I doubt they will listen to staff on the shopfloor?MACKEM99 said:ASDA not going to sell many then!
Perhaps in Aldi they will say "thats shallot"
Im here all week!

Just a little update on how this is panning out.itsthelittlethings said:
Placed orders on 23/12 and 24/12 for delivery on 29/12; 3/1; 10/1 and 17/1
All accepted the offer price when order was placed, although I could not get carrotts for 3/1;10/1 or 17/1.
Received order today and all the veg charged at 5p per item, so two happy households who have got this weeks fresh veg for 20p per household.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0 -
Which supermarket was this? I’ll be surprised if your still getting the discount on 17th but I guess maybe you will.Eldi_Dos said:

Don't forget to air your onions that is keep thme in the string bag hung up ideally otherwise they will rot quickly, they can keep for 7-8 months if stored properly or rot in a few weeks if in plastic sweaty bags3

You clearly know your onions! Time to repurpose an old pair of tights.gesdt50 said:Don't forget to air your onions that is keep thme in the string bag hung up ideally otherwise they will rot quickly, they can keep for 7-8 months if stored properly or rot in a few weeks if in plastic sweaty bagsNo man is worth crawling on this earth.
