ah right i spent £30 on the booster Ariel, if i didn't have it i wouldn't be able to view any of the channels
is there any thing i can use to further boost the signal?
You have to have a 'good' but weak signal before you can boost it, otherwise you are boosting crud in the air.
I had an big-ish outdoor ariel living on top of my wardrobe for years when I rented a room.GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.

I have a Philips Freeview box too and the same here some channels are not available at all times.
We have found out though that some channels are not available in the channel list starting with 0001 for BBC1 etc. But if you go to 0800 and 0801 and so forth channels are then available...weird but it works for us.Challenges:

That is because you are getting them from a different transmitter to your other channels.0 -
the older Phillips Ondigital/ ITVdigital boxes were notorious for bad signal, and slow channel changing, I had one and when I updated to another Freeview box I was surprised at the difference it made in channels.I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0

Lidl often have Satelite receivers and dishes for £60
Does your window face south with a view of the sky?
I can check if Dave works on my Lidl receiver if you ask.0 -
Another option is to buy an outdoor aerial but fit it in the bedroom, say hidden on top of a wardrobe, sounds unwieldy but it worked for me in the past. The most important thing is to find where your Freeview signal is being broadcast from and ensure whatever aerial you have is pointing right at it.
Argos have an aerial kit that has cable and connectors and a self-assembly aerial for around £20. Can you access the roofspace and install it there, just the matter of a small hole in the bedroom ceiling..................Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0
