New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

Thank you for your thanks but im about the least helpful person on this fabulous thread. Its amazing to get in depth knowledge from people who actually know what they are talking about rather than us end users. It helps a little bit to understand and helps me try to curb my natural enthusiasm to grab my black pen and my red pen (hopefully not needed, but I might be asked to double check somebody's calculations), my calculator and some scrap paper for my workings and join you in the march down to them !

Am I missing something or have pension quotes been entirely missed from the update?

Quotes were reported on a different basis. A previous update said that of a backlog of 4,000 at the end of June there were 240 still not processed in mid September. Whereas the other figures quoted in the latest update are for cases over 100 days old.
Presumably more late quotes have entered the backlog since the end of June. Capita claims to issue quotes within 6 weeks. Errors are being reported on public forums, eg both McCloud options being identical.
Hence it is rather difficult to really understand what is going on with quote delays at the current time, either in terms of delays or accuracy (for exmaple, to improve delays, has accuracy been de-prioritised?). In normal times, one may assume no news is good news - that the backlog had been worked through, and all new quote requests are being issued with 6 weeks. I think in the current circumstances that may be a rather courageous assumption.
Unfortunately many updates and statistics are included in one update and then never heard of again, with no update to either confirm something happened as planned, that a backlog has been resolved, or that further work is required. Telephone delays is probably the most high profile example of that, with regular reporting up to early July down to the second for average call duration, then no information after that at all despite long delays re-emerging.

Having sent my forms off at the end of July, I am still waiting for any information regarding my pension claim either through post, Email or the secure portal.

Following the system update during last weekend, I have just checked my 'Deferred' member account on the CS Portal.
It has gone from being 'Totally Useless' to being 'Still Totally Useless'.
- No information about my 'Time In Service', which at least the old MyCSP site had. As I am still unable to obtain an ABS, that information would at least give me some comfort.
- The 'Track My Cases' is still just a basic logging tool with ZERO information available. If Capita staff even glimpse at one of the cases, they automatically update it as 'Resolved', even though they have not done anything.
No help to me whatsoever.

At least yours are still showing worrypot, two of my queries disappeared off the portal altogether. Who knows how the stats show them but I'll bet its in their favour

Anyone else having issues access the portal now? I log in, enter the code texted to me and am given the choice of setting up an account or resetting my username or password…
Think I’ll give it a few days and see if it “sorts itself out”

No need for concern, on 3rd September Cabinet Office were on it, and reiterated that "improving portal performance was escalated as the highest priority technical issue and ensuring all users can sign in."
No further updates on that in the last month either.

Thanks. I’ve always had to enter 2-3 SMS codes to get in, now I can’t even do that…!
I’ll leave it for a bit.MFW Challenge: Mortgage free in 2008! ACHIEVED!

That happened to me yesterday George its not unusual to have to sign in twice -i had to recover my account yesterday even though my entered details had never been input incorrectly - with Capita's history of data breaches its not very re assuring that our data is fully protected or even correct
