One thing that doesn't help Crapita achieve their targets and is beyond their control, is that any letters sent out have to travel via the Royal Snail. Out here in the sticks we get a bulk letter delivery once every 2-3 weeks and that's it.

You can help your case by sending any documents to them via the 48-hr tracked (but not signed-for) service even if it costs a few quid each time.

well the post is privatised so what do you expect?

Capita and MyCsp before them do seem to have far more than their fair share of delayed and missing post however 🙄

I have been a pension claimant for 16 years - having started receiving an IHP at age 47 - I am currently aged 63.

My pension has been paid for the last 16 years without any problems - but now, I have had my pension reassessed due to incorrect terms being applied when it was started and they owe me a larger pension (including back dated arrears) - is this likely to cause me problems or do you think that I will be placed at the front of the queue ?

I’m not sure anyone would know. Probably you won’t be ahead of people who aren’t getting any money at all, just like people who are waiting for their McCloud choice or to have a pay award taken into account.

If they have initiated the contact to advise you of this maybe everything will be fine. When is the next payment of your pension due?

I have heard nothing from Capita since applying for my pension that was due in May 26. However, my pension that started 6 years ago has continued to be paid, with annual uprating & payslips with no issues.

Thanks for this @hugheskevi - your interpretation of the figures is refreshingly clear compared to the offical explanations being issued.

I'm awaiting my retirement quote, which on the face of it, Capita are clearing at a rate fo 4,800 a week. Given that there are 17,014 outstanding quotes, I'm hopeful I'll hear something in the next four weeks, always assuming that quotes are issued in the order that they're requested.

I can't see how the 17k figure compares to previous announcements, whether it's reducing or increasing - all depends on the rate at which new quotes are being requested

    The update said:

Capita has now implemented a bulk processing tool which speeds up the processing of retirement quotes, retirement payments and bereavement cases. Last week c4800 cases went through bulk processing
and have been paid as per their entitlement.

It isn't clear to me what exactly the 4,800 relates to precisely. For example, is a case an individual member, or would a member count toward multiple cases, eg, issuing a retirement quote counts as a case, then putting the quote into payment could count as another case.

As the 4,800 figure includes things beyond retirement quotes, it cannot be assumed 4,800 quotes are being issued per week from the information stated.

Hoping that this morning's message I had on the CSP web site is because the bods at Capita are actually cracking on and loading all our new ABS onto the system for us!!! I understand they have already declared some will be late, so have conveniently enabled themselves a nice excuse to miss issuing them to us by the statutory deadline of this Friday!😐️

Quick Question - on the "your pension records" box on the CSP site it's labelled mine as "active" - is that right as I've finished work and am expecting a quote ( even though I'm 62 )?
