New Capita-run Civil Service Pension Scheme - problems (what a surprise!)

Slightly unsurprising but a bit depressingly to form, Capita emailed me on Thursday to say "it had just come to their attention today that they had not issued me with the partial options forms"! Typically poor QA as usual then!!?!? Apparently, these two forms (relating to Alpha and Classic) should have been with the partial retirement quote pack they sent me on 2 and 6 July. I think this gives everyone a bit of an idea of the true timeline in their process, as I sent everything back to them on 6 July, so that is about 8-9 weeks lag before things are dealt with, as opposed to the 4-5 week turnaround time they say they are working to!
A fellow partially retired colleague who is about a month ahead of me in the process, also received these extra forms (which were not sent as part of their original pack) and received their lump sum directly into the bank account earlier this month - which is fantastic! But no notice from Capita, no finalisation letter or anything like that, just a load of dosh arrived one day!!! I continue to live in hope my pension benefits will chug their way through their process eventually and I too will get a nice surprise when I go into my bank account!!! Haha!

Checked one of my colleagues 2026 ABS she started in 1991 so roughly same length of service as me although I was privatised for 20 months before rejoining into Premium. She has Classic and Alpha service, her pensionable pay is roughly the same as mine and her Classic is roughly £7000 lower than what it shows for her Alpha pensionable earnings, the same as my ABS.
This must be a problem at Capita's end, which doesn't come as a suprise!

This article was published yesterday on the House of Commons Library website. Gives an overview of the situation and provides some links to other bits of info. I'm posting here as I thought it may be useful to more newer members on this chat.
