Interesting. My transfer is from HL and their admin is usually pretty good on transfers. Even a recent share certificate deposit with them was ready to trade in 48 hours.
My transfer to Barclays is a few lines of conventional gilts - nothing complex although value >£200k. From my perspective I’m happy for them to take time on the way in - but when the time comes to transfer out I’ll be holding them to their timeframes!0 -

....If it wasn't for the cashback I'd have given up on Barclays by now. In-specie transfers from HSBC are showing 'In progress' on Barclays, but have been rejected. Apparently because money has been paid into the HSBC ISA this year it is treated (by Barclays) as a current-year partial transfer which they don't allow - even though the whole of the 25/26 subscriptions are being transferred, or left with HSBC, depending how you want to call it. (the subscription is a small amount compared to both the transfer amount and what will be left with HSBC after the transfer.A transfer from a second provider hasn't even started as Barclays can't confirm whether the funds can be transferred in-specie - they are on their list of tradeable funds but after nearly three weeks they still can't confirm.0 -

Mine is taking ages as well, started transfer in mid-December and still nothing. How long before it makes sense to make a complaint? I read after 30 days but then providers say it can take 8 weeks so is making a complaint a waste fo time?0

I would call them and ask about the status, just to be sure your transfer is in progress0

My assets left HL yesterday, but are yet to show as arrived at Barclays. Transfer was requested over a month ago…0

Actually shouldn;t mind the delays because of the barclays fees; it would be perfect for the transfer to be complete on the 14th Feb. I am more worried about the transfer back out given the longer it takes, the more barclays take their fees.Should I simply initiate a transfer back out as soon as the transfer in is done, given the time it takes, as surely the transfer out won't occur on or before 14th Feb? Thus still being eligible for the cashback offer given the requirement for the ISA to be simply open as of the 14th Feb?0

How many days from assets leaving HL to showing on Barclays for you? Mine were cleared from HL on Monday but nothing showing at Barclays yet.
The payment is due 60 business days after the end of the offer period (14th Feb) which takes us to 13th May or thereabouts.FAQ 9 indicates only that the account needs to be open ‘at the end of the offer period’ i.e. 14th Feb and there is no minimum time the assets have to be in the account.I’m going to re-read this and the rest of the terms carefully (and do your own research!) but looks like it might be possible to initiate a transfer out after the 14th Feb and still be eligible.0
