Section 75 Credit Card Bathroom fitter

I have a poorly installed bathroom. The bathroom fitter has NO formal qualifications. Can i still make a claim under my credit card. He fitted a bath, tiled and wc and toilet to a poor standard.

I don't think a bathroom fitter requires any qualifications at all.

If you weren't satisfied you shouldn't have paid until defects were rectified.

Bad workmanship is subjective so if the fitter has done the work then what exactly are you claiming for?

I can see this is going to be another drip feed topic, appropriate for a leaking bathroom.

Have you advised him of your dissatisfaction and all the faults in writing and asked him to rectify those issues?

If so, what has he said?

So what have you & or the person done to resolve the issue.

You can not just go to your CC for a S75 claim without evidence of trying to resolve, proof of costs to resolve & most important T/C of contract to prove breach of contract &/or misrepresentation.

The toilet. It leaked into my ceiling. He is coming round tommorow to look at it. I guess i am just concerned if other things fail.
