Refund of credit after switching
Today is the tenth working day after receiving my final bill from EDF after switching away from them in October , what do I do if I fail to receive my credit today and is there any penalty I would be due ?
As a side issue , I switched to them in October 24 paying them in front , my fixed tariff ended 6th October 25 and they have my credit until 28th November , seems to me to be too long for them to have my money , if I owed them would they wait until today for me to settle up ? Meanwhile I have made 2 payments to my new supplier , luckily I have the funds to do this but is this one of the main reasons people stay on the cap and don’t switch .
Anyway see if my £600+ appears in my account today , also think 10 working days is old , just say 14 days as today is my day off but I will be at work Saturday and Sunday .
Thanks for any advice , suggestion , comments

Wait a further 11 working days before contacting EDF, potential compensation would double. £40 x 2 if initial £40 compensation is not automatically paid within 10 working days.andy1886 said:Today is the tenth working day after receiving my final bill from EDF after switching away from them in October , what do I do if I fail to receive my credit today and is there any penalty I would be due ?

Thank you very much for that , no credit paid so compensation due , will wait until i do receive my credit before approaching EDF , still think this situation is a disgrace but it is what it isbristolleedsfan said:

I would not contact them until deadline has passed for additional £40 compensation to be automatically paidandy1886 said:

I would put together complaint about late credit refund with associated inconvenience caused, shortfall in service citing OFGEM guaranteed standards performance rules, complain about £40x2 not having been made and say minimum £80 compensation needs to be paid in order to resolve complaint

You could contact them now about credit balance not being received and hope they do not automatically pay £40 compensation.1
